each tribe offers 3 each day, plus 3 more if you go up a reputation rank in that tribe. you can hold onto 3 overnight, but can't accept the next day's quests until you complete those.
so, if you have enough tribes unlocked, you can grab all 12 quests and do those quests tomorrow

@lilac void yeah but I feel like all I do in this game is msq and nothing else...like I know there’s other stuff but it doesn’t seem particularly interesting. Why would I do hunts and leve quests when they give no good rewards and my equipment from msq is still the best...also I’ve been using the same equipment since level 45 the masterworks stuff for my bard...10 levels later and I’m still wearing it I wish the fame had more incentive for you to explore and go off the beaten path for loot or whatever

The rotations of skills is different, their abilities that they offer the groups are diffierent, they are different varying levels of abilities.
Dragoon offers Litany, Monks offer Brotherhood, Ninja offers trick attack.

My own experience only.
Bard: Very chaotic and hectic, you always have something to press, but offers a feeling of freedom as you pew pew pew away.
Red mage: Relaxing and rhythmic rotation, pretty chill
Dancer: Very pretty, somewhat chaotic with lots of procs but nowhere near bard's level, seriously it's almost as pretty as AST
Astrologian: Very mobile for a healer, you can buff allies, idk if I'm doing something wrong but not as powerful a healer as SCH, even on diurn? I'm probably doing something wrong. Also it can both spec into heals or regens.
Scholar: Very large toolkit, you have an answer to any situation. Feels a lot like a tactician to me, always keep a cool head and plan out your cooldowns and Aetherflow uses. Pretty calm overall.

I’m kind of same boat as hairy, just picking back up after a few years. I have a 50 bard and sch/sum 48. I’m currently on brynhildr, how is the server now? And should I consider switching anyways to a healthier server?(if it’s not)

how do you get the standard mentor crown without the sword, flag or hammer tied to it? Is it having both mentor roles unlocked at the same time?
oh looks like the standard crown got removed entirely in 5.1, now you have to choose a subcategory

Honestly RDM is legit soothing to me. Hardcast, dualcast, hardcast, dualcast, unless you have lag in which case the game has no qualms about hardcasting Veraero even if you have Dualcast yes I am very salty about it. deep breath
RDM has little to no weaving or oGCDs. There's Fleche and Contre Sixte, and later the stay in place displacement, and your buffs which kind of have to be precast because of how weaving works for RDM, but that's pretty much it. Way less of a high ping nightmare than BRD which has at least three oGCDs off cooldown at any given time. You just dance away on your keyboard until you have 80 mana, when the fun begins. You dash in straight into an AoE, perform your melee combo, backflip out straight into another AoE and blame someone else when you die. (Lol) The melee combo gets even more fun later when more spells are added to it so it's really a 5-button combo.

Also two of the charms of RDM is the fact you can spam resurrect and show up the healers (make sure to make a macro to let everyone know in chat just how much you're showing the healers up and make them be nicer about resurrecting you when you die) and the mobility. Literally every second spell of yours is instant cast, and the "short spells" (which you're supposed to hardcast) are only 2 second cast time. Which, admittedly, limits weaving. Weaving is in general a bit of a headache, because f.e Fleche and especially Displacement have very long animations and can and will clip if you try to double weave with them, plus you can only weave every two GCDs because you can't weave without Dualcast.
Also the rapier is cool. I literally have three separate RDM glams that I adore and the rapier only makes them cooler. RDM has amazing glams in general, especially if you're willing to mix and match.
Oh, and visual verdamage. Around level 60-something, your Scatter will evolve into "pretty flower that for some reason takes up the entire screen". It's pretty, but holy shit if it's not flashy. And don't even try casting LB3 if there's an AoE phase. You literally can't see anything while it's going on. I just call RDM LB3 "visual verdamage".
