@wicked steeple If you mean one of the expansion jobs, you can grab one of those right away and level up as them, as Red Mage/Samurai start at 50 and Gunbreaker/Dancer start at 60, and they need the same level they start as to unlock them.

yeah the later skills help a good amount, also having spectral currents happen is very helpful too
Double Hook is very good for points during spectrals if you get lucky and hit it on the big point fishes
I've yet to break 3k points due to never seeing a spectral happen and I'm at 73

For crafters, you pretty much want to level up all of them except maybe Culinarian together so they can share equipment and make materials for each other to save on gil. Miner/Botanist/Fisher are much more isolated and can be done by themselves.

I think a gatherer like Miner or Botanist is a good first choice since it lets you gather materials for yourself and get a bit of pocket change to help level up your crafters

Alright so I got a little bit of a weird one here:
My friend is trying to update the game, but every time they go to update, their internet cuts out. It's weird because everything else works fine, such as downloading other files from other sources, using Discord, etc. The only time this happens is in the launcher when it attempts to download the new patch.
We've done a little searching around for fixes, even restarting the router multiple times, but nothing seems to work. Kinda stinks since she can't even play the game anymore. Last patch worked fine, but this one is just not able to download.
If anyone has any sort of possible solutions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advanced!
