Quick Synthesis is basically like completing a craft with 0 quality gain

Quicksynth is for when you want to craft a lot of items quick and don't care about them being HQ.

So you need progress to actually make the item but you need quality to make it high quality

Basically you figure out how many synthesis skills are needed to complete the craft, and then you leave enough durability and CP to use those skills while you use the rest for quality

The calculation page in 5.2 will make that a lot easier

@ocean hedge BLM has some of the best aoe and best overall damage out of all the DPS classes. however, as someone who started with BLM all the way up until 60 when RDM came out, it honestly is kind of boring to play until you get Flare at I think 50. and it looks like they nerfed Fire2 so now Freeze is the main aoe spell? weird but a little more interesting than the old rotation.

i think blm gets really cool at 70 and up. more fun than RDM even.

What is a retainer?

How to unlock a retainer

First you must complete the quest The Scions of the Seventh Dawn then go to speak to any of the retainer vocates located in the market district of any of the major cities.

What are Retainer Ventures?

Ventures are the means to send out your retainers on missions to bring back items for you, and can be unlocked by completing the quest An Ill-conceived Venture (Ul’Dahn), (Gridania), (Limsa Lominsa)

Crystal datacenter is sort of the official/unofficial RP datacenter, so server is somewhat superfluous unless you had a specific Free Company you wanted to join.

Whm is the most straightforward healer although before get the off global skills is slow and boring to play. Holy is your bff. Ast is a little more tactical but gets ugly later on from lower personal dps, higher mp use, and card management. Either is fine until you get to raid content(eden)

Yup, to add to it AST is pretty good with WHM in savage, because the cards can boost the WHM dps too. The AST shields are on par with the SCH ones and AST can double as more beefier healer too. (Because SCH lost a lot of DPS skills, that was needed because there was a major disbalance making the WHM {and BLM/SAM too} unwanted in high-end content.)

Dungeon drop gear for your class is good for the level around that dungeon

To fill in the gaps, gear merchants in any major city stock normal-quality gear which covers all level ranges from 1 up to 50.

The easiest way would be spending gils to buy leve kit from other players.

But I don't recommend it: A you robbed yourself on how to craft and B generally you want to have all DoH at max level, so buying leve kits for 8 DoH from lvl 1-80 would be quite costly
