Then the chick has a 50/50 chance to inherit the ability being passed on by the mother or father.

If I buy the one for Machnist for a character that's not at HW yet(I have it purchased but this specific character isn't there yet) then does it still let them use the class and unlock it for them, or will I not be able to use it until I get to HW?

all it cares about is whether you have the appropriate expansions tied to your account
so, as long as you've got heavensward registered to your account, you can use the machinist level boost at lvl 1

so if i bought steam version, i login to my square enix account and it tells me i dont have a valid soemthing or an expired subscription, i go to the mog station link, i enter the product key i got when i launched the game under registration code it gives me an error i2501. the error code seems to be completely unrelated to anything since i bought the game off steam and it is an error with a card being declined or something.

you can become a rogue by leveling any other job to level 10

you can't start as a rogue, you have to start as another job and swap over to rogue (you can unlock and level all classes/jobs on the same character). If you want the fastest path to unlock rogue, you have to pick a job that starts in limsa lominsa (marauder or arcanist) and get them up to level 10

The balance doesn't use a melding priority for Paladin, just make sure you get your GCD anywhere between 2.45 and 2.38, and then just make sure your melds are getting their full value
(though you still don't want to meld tenacity unless you're progressing through ultimate and want the small amount of extra comfort)

Main Story is the biggest source of experience. You can also run some daily roulettes such as Leveling, Alliance Raid, and Main Scenario for further daily EXP

Ishgardian Restoration is pretty good exp. Especially above 40. Might need a gatherer to get materials however as it uses mostly unique mats. Levequests are probably the best for exp yield but usually require time and effort to get the most of it (all HQ turn ins ideally).

getting HQ is inconsistent without using full high-quality materials until the later levels
with the old system I usually managed consistent HQ crafts in the mid 30's, but that was with cross-class crafting. So I can't say for sure when you'll be able to do it.

yeah you'll lose tons of money by not gathering your own stuff unless you know how to take good advantage of daily/weekly experience sources and leves.
Like something you can do right at the tail-end of level 59 is to do a Castle Leve from Ishgard, which will shoot you from 59 to something like 65 with a single leve (that costs 10 leves)

I believe the free trial lets you play any class up to lvl 30. The game does pick up after lvl 50 (imo) but at 30 you should know if the game is fun enough at its core. You can sign up for 1 month at a time if you want.

you can't join guilds, but you can be invited to parties while on the trial
The Starter Edition is the base game which is the level 50 cap. The expansion Shadowbringers raises it to the current cap of 80.

Gunbreaker plays the most like a DPS. Got combos, oGCD attacks, and two DoTs. The other three tanks have similar stuff but not as many and definitely not all at once.

They all play the same roughly but PLD has the most tools. Including a full on heal spell. DRK has maybe the strongest mitigation tool in the Blackest Night. And WAR can sustain itself pretty well in a party with Nascent Flash.
