That is not really hard to do: all the settings are in a CHARxxxxxxxxx folder in the %userprofile%/Documents game folder, the only thing you need to know is which folder is for which character. (Look at the modify date, the game will change that date once you login with the character.)
Simply copy and paste to the contents of the folder to the folder of the other character does the trick.

If you want to transfer the Hotbar and UI settings, you can copy-paste the UISAVE.DAT and the HOTBAR.DAT files from the original character folder to the character folder you want to transfer it to.

Heavy is easy, it looks and sounds like your rod is going to snap in two.
Small and medium are hard to tell apart, you’ll probably mistake one for the other a bit until you get practiced
Small is a little double-twitch
Medium is one more sustained tug and then a wobble
A certain fish will always have a certain tug.
So if you’re only going for a certain fish and you know which tug it has, you can ignore all other rugs and save your hookset GP

Eureka is level 70 instanced content. You’ll have to grind up some anemos crystals and protean crystals by doing FATEs inside the instanced area, then trade them with a vendor to upgrade the gear.

All mounts have the same speed, flat out, the only differences are the SDS fenrir and/or if you have mount speed upgrades. Toggling on/off walk can make a difference, and for controller if you tilt the control stick slightly vs fully that changes the speed too

@raw solstice we're on PC and he's walking a lot faster compared to the shop mount, it's because he has 150ms that he might look slower but in game we're walking the same speed/have the same gap compared to the shop mount he just bought

So, can someone explain the level 30 DRG quest to me? I just turned it in. Apparently, the Azure Dragoon had the Eye (which as I gather is [HW spoilers] ||not actually Nidhogg's eye but his job stone? the wording is kind of confusing but honestly both the job stone and Nidhogg's eye are rightfully his||... and then stole it? He stole his own stuff and so the Holy See sends an outsider to deal with him? An outsider who, were they not the WoL, would probably get swatted down by The Azure Dragoon in like .1 seconds if they actually started a confrontation asking him to return the Eye?
Or does any of this get explained later?

Yes. All of the expansion jobs require either a higher level or an expansion you don't have.
The exception is Rogue which is technically speaking not an expansion job but still isn't available through character creation.

The classes you choose at the start are just the base classes, you'll get the jobs unlocked at lvl 30 for each class then Dark Knight, Machinist, Astrologian, Dancer, Gunbreaker, Samurai and Red Mage are locked behind the various expansions for the game, the first 3 are locked until you get Heavensward, SAM and RDM are unlocked at lvl 50 if you have Stormblood and Dancer and Gunbreaker are unlocked at level 60 if you have Shadowbringers.

@leaden ginkgo you can make millions at any point in the game, it's just harder the lower your level is, generally. additionally, some weapons can be made glowy from not glowy, but they're usually relics.

one thing you can do is find something that sells CONSISTENTLY on your server and just do that, like people always need elemental shards for crafting, etc. you also get gil from just doing msq. if you're trying to get fancy glamour before even beating heavensward, you're going to have a rough time.

The healers in this game are:
White mage: Very raw and upfront damage and healing, plus some healing over time. Plays a lot like hpriest.
Scholar: Has a pet that contributes to healing, lots of oGCDs on a separate resource than mana. has a lot of shields.
Astrologian: Gives the allies cards that make them deal more damage. Can spec into either hots or shields. Lots of cool visuals, the busiest job imo.

Short answer, no. Long answer, no job in any FF game is like a Disc priest iirc so uhh no.
Disc Priest, Death Knight, and I think Demon Hunter are all very VERY unique in the way WoW has them portrayed so none of those really have a FF counterpart.

@proper junco yeah, so you have a setting toggled on that has you face the target when you use something on them (which is good, since if you're facing away it'll just give you an error instead and not let you use the thing). When you're on standard, your camera is in line with where your character is facing, so if your character turns from that, then your camera turns like that

On PC you can go to your XIV folder in documents
And find your character folders which contain your character settings
And then copy and paste from one folder to the other folder replacing the settings

So just log in on your main

Now it's just when you have a higher chance of getting rare materials

You check your desynth level by going into your character menu, and switching from DoW/DoM to DoL/DoH

dunno try a few different level ranges, but you generally start with getting like 1.5-3 points per item desynthed
then it gets lower as you level down to like 0.80 or less
just get a bunch of trash fish and spam desynth them
