When you're heading towards the marketplace from the aetheryte, don't go into the marketplace and instead follow the road until you see a booth on the left side of the road. I got a bit of a complicated question about playstyles. I've found that for games in the style of FFXIV and WoW, the optimal playstyle for a given player archetype can be plotted on a triangle based on what the idea behind the playstyle is:
The first playstyle is nested cycles: you have a resource, an effect, a cooldown or a mix of these that when optimally used becomes available in 3 cycles, and if you play correctly, you'll be able to fit a whole amount of the lower cycle iterations in the bigger cycles. For example: you got a resource that builds up over 4.5 seconds that you then spend, a short buff that lasts 9 seconds and can be used again after 45 seconds, and a larger buff that also comes back every 90 seconds. So in this situation, your goal is to align the resource spending and buffs so that they match up. BRD has this with their off-GCD spell that regens every 15 seconds, their song effects you switch every 30 seconds and their main damage CD.
The second playstyle is collision management: you have a large amount of spell effects that don't really have a cooldown or interact with other effects, but your goal is to keep them all active for as much of the fight as possible. As an example: BRD has their damage over time effects and their song effects.
The third is reactive effects: you need to pay attention to special things like critical hits, direct hits, spell effects that activate and so on, and you generally want to use them as soon as possible. Examples of these are Mage Ballad, the BRD shot effect.
Every playstyle in hotkeybased games has elements of the above playstyles, and I've found that generally players have a personal preference for a specific playstyle.
... And I just realized that my question was answered in the question itself. BRD looks like it might be the right class for me. Just a shame it has too many buttons for me to bind them all

other than that, MB fluctuates a lot when there's someone (or bot) dump a crap ton of materials on MB so it dipped. or when someone buys out a crap ton (like someone trying to overmeld and bought out a certain materia).
so there isn't a very clear trend line you can predict beside new patches coming up and expecting something.

@near path I don’t think so. You could always unplug your headset or turn up the system sounds(pretty sure it’s this one) in system config so the duty finder ticks are louder

@tribal sand All DPS are in a relatively good spot right now. The only two exceptions I can think of are in fact being addressed in the next patch in a couple weeks. RDM is getting buffed because its output is a little low while SMN is a little too strong so it's getting nerfs to its DoTs. Other than that, yeah, DPS are pretty solid.

As for summoner, I assume you mean the pet actions, which are now baked into actual skills for your toolkit

NIN got a pretty substantial rework not too long ago. It feels and plays much better and Mudras no longer get clippy as they're on a short GCD. It feels funny at first but much more smooth and less prone to latency issues.

no since these nodes spawn once every few minutes and there's not really a route since there's only one node a zone and they're generally 20-30 minutes apart in terms of spawning
