I'm not 100% sure in what exactly you're asking but if you buy from steam you'll get a key on Steam to put on Mogstation. Once that is done you'll have the game registered on your account. Now, if you mean "account" as actual accounts the answer is you would need to buy the game again for another account. If you mean "account" as in different characters you can have multiple on one account

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

You need a chocobo (mount) license in order to use mounts, see it as a driving license.
It will unlock the quest that gives it when you progress the MSQ. (It is after you join a grand company.)

You've only been gone for a patch. You've missed some Ishgard restoration, the first 24-man raid, more MSQ, etc, etc. Patch 5.1 didn't really have a lot except some fairly big ninja changes and massive massive crafting/gathering changes. Next patch is sometime this month and it seems pretty juicy @fossil basin

@plush pebble I guess it's only worth saying Crystal is "unofficial RP"
You should also ideally go on a preferred server since they give double xp gains up to level 70 so long as your server is preferred or for 90 days, whatever happens last

The only way to free transfer is by going from a congested world to a preferred world

As for how to look it up you have two options:

According to level, do the roulette first though then either spam dungeons or get the quest The House that Death Built to unlock Palace of the Dead and spam that if you don't already have it unlocked that is.

Choco I would honestly check and see what your ctrl is bound to in the first place but I also wouldn't recommend using the numpad at all if it's causing movement issues. I can't do much more to help other than that though since I dont have my PC client installed atm to check if it'd be the same on my end.

Huh, that's a unique glitch o-o I usually skip the credits so I don't get shit like that but it's good to know that DCing during credits after the ending primal could potentially glitch the MSQ to high heaven XD

2.1-2.3 are dull, yes, but it’s all ground work for things to come. Granted not all of it is that important. I’d say you can skip a majority of it up to the lead in to Leviathan.
