DPS is a little harder to level
MSQ (main scenario quest) gives a lot of EXP.
so leveling a DPS with MSQ is basically a free DPS. Tanks and Healers are easier because they can queue for dungeons and get in rather quickly.
DPS wait time is somewhere around 15-25 minutes. Tank is around 5-8 mins right now.

First off the free trial. After that you don't really lose anything by starting with the stater edition except not having access to expansion races immediately which could suck. Really you only need the expansions when you hit level 50 since you're at the base game level cap then. @rancid vector

Non-Steam and Steam licences for this game aren't the same and are incompatible with each other. If you get the Non-Steam trial you still have the choice of going the Steam or Non-Steam route but if you go for the Steam free trial you HAVE to go the Steam route

@leaden ginkgo I have noticed that the stun ability does stop enemies from casting their special attacks. However, using the skill that says it prevents actions does not seem to work for me at all. Each and every time I have used the ability that stops an action it has failed to work properly. I basically just removed the action stopping ability from my bars and I only use the stun ability.

I have been unable to make it work under any conditions at lower levels. Maybe at higher levels it will be more useful, but it does not work all that well at low levels and it makes more sense to just blanket stun the target at that point.

Learning the rotation is easy and it all comes down to lining up your oGCDs/midare/tsubame with other raid buffs

Just know what the middle hit of each combo gives, keep those same buffs up and use midare setsugekka with e sens and keep up dot with 1 sen
And eventually when you unlock kenki, know where on the mob to hit the positional requirement of 2 of your combo finishers
Again, very confusing at first but if you put in effort to learn what each ability does and get the muscle memory down, itll feel better

Most jobs boil down to "read your tooltips and then implement" so after your 4th/5th job it shouldn't be too hard learning any new job

Make sure to reread, or at least skim through, everything. RDMs received 2-3 new aoe skills that were unlocked before 50 so that threw a lot of RDMs into the low dps area for a few weeks.

@leaden ginkgo yeah, that's how it is for me, too. I try attack number 3 (first stun that you get) - it works at times but it's a little weird. Then the next stun works very well and that ability you mentioned - I don't see what it does. Maybe it needs to be timed perfectly?
