Silly question but how does white mage play? compared to the other healers or just by itself.
I'm not a huge fan on how scholar plays (or I just don't understand it), and AST I still haven't gotten use to the changes, thinking on trying White Mage, but not too sure how it plays, even in potd.

They do have holy though at 45, which deals AOE damage while stunning targets. This stun wears off after some seconds, but it's enough to pause large pull trash mobs so you can catch up on healing from in route damage and setup regens/shields/whatever.
There's also some pretty decent MP management, especially thin air which lets you cast spells at 0 MP for its duration

You don't get it until 58, but it's really nice if you need to rez someone and don't want to take the huge MP hit
Even if you're not resing people, you can use it for 0 MP cures/damage, especially when you mix it with Presence of Mind at level 30 to reduce spell cast time

Healers aren't too bad and tend to have the best time to queue pop
as far as leveling goes
Save maybe really early mornings you should be able to just spam highest level dungeon / roulettes and level up pretty quickly (just want to make sure you have your gear in check because it matters most for healers)
It's also not uncommon for roulettes to have healer adventurer in need for bonus EXP

Just be aware that you'd be jumping right into shadowbringers dungeon territory which can have some pretty nasty healing if you're just starting out with the healer class in question

i bought a monk skipping potion a while ago and that was the worst decision i've ever made. each job plays very differently, monk just doesn't suit me and i didn't know until i try it. but if i try it, which means i'll have to level them to get a feel, then at that point, your money/level value goes down lol.

2.X requires you to do 9 trials and 2 dungeons. Other than that, it's just a lot of dialogue, teleporting around, and cutscenes

Directx errors almost always come from the gfx end of things I think. Updating the drivers, or in the event they auto-updated, rolling back the drivers will usually fix the issue

I fixed my crashing issue
I mean the latest amd drivers I installed are terrible
but I need them installed as they are for non gaming stuff
anyway I had this idea, to cap the FPS as I done this before in another game and it fixed a similar issue
so I set to 59 FPS 1 below the max hz ( 60 hz = 60 fps) of my screen refresh rate, now when I play the game is locked to a max of 59 fps and a min of 30 fps and I just played non stop for about 30 mins without a crash
thought I would come back and say how I solved it incase someone else has the same issue

But at higher levels, you'll get a fraction of a level

to answer your first question about the GNB weapons, I don't think SE adds new job weapons retroactively to the old MSQ that they could level up in, so you'll have to settle with dungeon weapons. If you haven't already, you can get an i270 Augmented Shire weapon in Idyllshire

You can actually do that mission with your current squad stats.
If you train their tactical rating once you get 315/327/350 and that is enough to suceed.

Retainers can equip anything you could for that specific job, including things bound to you. The main exceptions are that they can't equip something that's unique if it's in their inventory and they can't equip job stones as giving them jobs is a different system.

If you press CTRL+U on PC by default (also in the duty menu in your main menu widget) it will bring up a timers window. Selecting "Rowena's House of Splendors" will bring up collectibles for Rowena, who handles a majority of your collectibles work. Each class has their own collectibles. Gatherers have a mostly static set of collectibles to work with which can change as you level up. Crafters have a set of recipes which support collectible synthesis that are selected at random daily at the grand company turn-in timed daily reset (not the roulette one).
Each item has a base collectability and two higher tiers. The higher tiers give you more EXP, gil, and scrip rewards than the base collectibility.
You won't be able to turn in any item that is not base collectability or higher.

for alts general leveling suggestion is: 1-15: hunting log/palace of the dead/fates/leve quests(tho the last one is generally not recommended)
15+: daily leveling roulette/main scenario+alliance raid(these two at 50+). for tanks/healers: highest level dungeon (do not do 50/60/70 dungeons, they do not give good experience.
for dps: palace of the dead (til60), heaven on high (61-70), dungeons/trust dungeons if queues are long.

The easiest way is going to the main 3 city-state + Kugane aetherytes and looking at each word and seeing if one is empty
Instead of a name by a plot number it'll just say the price of the plot
But that doesn't tell you if you can buy it yet. Just that it is empty. Unless you are relocating you have to wait a random amount of time before you can buy an empty plot and there is no way of knowing when you can unless you actually try to buy it

Also don't forget to do your Enclave reconstruction thing each week for free Gil

@leaden ginkgo King does drop some materials but I wouldn't say they'd sell that well but check the marketboard and see for yourself (you'd want to look up the materials online for whatever fight. Not too hard to find.) Quick ventures do give a lot of trash but you can get some really good stuff. It doesn't really cost you anything to do so /shrug.
Enclave reconstruction is a Stormblood thing.
In the reconstruction you basically give items to them and they give you Gil for it but the Gil they give is more than normal vendor price so you earn more money by giving them items than just directly selling it. They have a Gil cap each week though

Completely disabling them won't probably be a good idea as you still want to see important cooldowns / aoes in trials, raids n such.
