Anything you get before level 80 is gonna be immediately replaced. I'd wait till you gotta talk to Grenoldt and do your last Job Quest which then will reward you with the i430 gear literally RIGHT before the ending section of the MSQ.

The only step you can 'skip' is the first step of the anima weapon by sacrificing a Zeta weapon

but for the Anima weapon you can stockpile materials and prepare for later steps after your first one

How do I unlock my job?

To unlock your class' job you need to be level 30, complete all of your class quests and the main scenario quest 'Sylph Management' (lvl 20 quest) to be able to pick up your job unlock quest. Once you've done the initial unlock quest, you will be given a soul crystal which you must equip to become your class' job.

Mount sizes aren't that different either, maybe slightly bigger or shorter by a a bit but other than that there's no difference in anything except what they look like and what clothes look like on them. Like Animation frames.

Lyon, when you cast a spell or use displacement you're locked into that animation until it's either done or canceled. Salad is legit asking if race has an effect on the animation duration of a skill like RDM's Displacement and the animation lock it puts you in while vaulting backwards.

'How can I unlock Flying?'

Flying is unlocked through the collecting of a zone's Aether Currents, with every zone having ten 'green' Aether Currents found in the overworld and five 'yellow' Aether Currents obtained through the MSQ and side quests marked with a plus sign. Azys Llya is the only zone to not have any green Aether Currents. You must collect all Aether Currents in a zone to be able to fly.

'Where can I find the green Aether Currents?'

Upon obtaining the Black Chocobo mount you are also given an Aether Compass, which is a key item you can use to locate the nearest non-quest Aether Current. This can be set to your Hotbar for ease of use. Alternatively, you can use this website to show the location of all Aether Currents for a zone. http://heavenswhere.com/

Flying is only possible in the expansion zones.

you cannot meld vitality. Tenacity is ok but usually other options end up being better. Generally folks don't really bother much with melding until they're max level and looking at BiS options at endgame since you go through gear pretty quickly when leveling and materia doesn't make for a huge difference

the other advantage of being on a preferred server is that as you progress through the story there are normally points where your class level isn't high enough to accept the next story quest. With the preferred server xp buff you can avoid nearly all of that (if not totally all of it)

There was once , it was totorak I think. I was new and after the cutscene, I didn't see my party members at all , I saw the area is sealed msg and thought they killed the boss and left. So I jumped in to see the boss spawned on me. Was told off later haha apparently I think they wiped while I was in cutscene and came back again, cuz they also told off someone for not waiting before me

Of course, ||you can still move around in Ul’dah too. The game doesn’t actually block off a major city for use. Crystal Braves you encounter are basically quaking in their boots before you, and most Brass Blades in the overworld are actually people you’ve helped briefly in past quests so they look the other way for you.||

any which way, the requirements for bootshine crit is correct form and hitting from the rear. If you have TN/earth's reply active (specifically procced riddle of earth, just to be clear with that as well even though I'm pretty sure you know), then you fulfill that rear positional either way

Info

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

@young atlas at that level there’s not really much in the way of a “rotation”. Use touch actions to increase the quality bar (HQ chance) and use synthesis actions to increase the progress bar.

Sorry if this is against any rule here. I found this apparently famous site that shows some stastics of servers. I see that servers like Diabolos or Malboro have more # of characters than Balmung, which is as far as I know, one of the most populated worlds. Also, Balmung and Mateus are currently congested but this site shows that other servers have more numbers of characters. Am I reading something wrong?
