To unlock your class' job you need to be level 30, complete all of your class quests and the main scenario quest 'Sylph Management' (lvl 20 quest) to be able to pick up your job unlock quest. Once you've done the initial unlock quest, you will be given a soul crystal which you must equip to become your class' job.

you'll only get Light from level 50-60 content, and you must have it equipped before defeating the final boss of an instance

#

So for a dungeon you can use a different weapon for everything up to before the final boss, and then switch to it and finish the dungeon

Single Target if you have Kassatsu, you do Hyoton. If you don't have Kassatsu, use Raiton. Just don't let Ninjutsu max at 2 charges.

Eden 1 won't have ALL the gear but you can run Eden 1 forever for all the gear it gives

Which for savage is just accessories

When normal raid and savage raids come out there are weekly gear/token restrictions but after a while they get unlocked and you can get as much gear as you want by running it as much as you want

Which is what has happened for the raid right now in Shadowbringers

I've been playing ffxiv for a little over a month and I love it. Hit 80 on my only class, WHM, a little while back and I enjoy it. The thing is, I'm still learning how to do the endgame content and now that I no longer have my sprout I'm a bit anxious. For instance, I did copied factory last week and it was so fun but I died so much so I was nervous I was pissing everyone off even though I had spent the prior 30 minutes watching and rewatching a visual guide.

My question is this: Is there a way to queue into duty finder as "learning"? I read something about party finder online with that feature but haven't been able to find ANYTHING about it in game.

u could tell your party u are new to it or its your first time doin it most people are more forgiving then

learning partys are mostly done for extreme and savage content when u do it over partyfinder so the people that join know its practice

@tawdry venture you could look at povs on youtube but without playing it you might not understand everything
most involved is probably AST with the cards - most interesting is kinda subjective - whm has its own minigame where you play like blm, trying to move as little as possible, slidecasting from mechanic to mechanic - sch has pet control (kinda - really, you just stick it in the middle of the arena at the start of a fight most of the time)
idk - they can all be interesting in their own way

@wooden glen if you mean just Gladiator and not Paladin this is your basic TL;DR:
Iron Will is your tank stance. Turn it on for when you’re doing group content like dungeons
main combo is Fast Blade > Riot Blade > Rage of Halone
Total Eclipse is used for groups of enemies
Fight or Flight is used pretty much whenever it’s up
Shield Bash can be used to help reduce damage taken for low level stuff or to interrupt enemies but Low Blow and Interject are generally better used for that
Shield Lob is used for grabbing enemies from a distance or as you approach a group of enemies

Yeah leveling roulette is any dungeon not at 50/60/70/80 which you can actually do and the bonus XP you get is scaled by how low the dungeon is compared to your level

You can send them out to gather specific items depending on what class you out them on and can also be set to get random stuff

However I soon learned that free trial accounts can only be on one platform. hey all. My installation finally completed, I logged in and was able to choose the realm "Crystal". when connecting it had an error, upon logging back in it is making patch 20gigs. Low Blow and Interject have different functions

#

Low Blow—and Shield Bash—inflict stun which incapacitates the enemy for a few seconds. This has diminishing effects each time you stun the same enemy—they will be stunned for longer each time and eventually become immune to stun for 60 seconds or so.

#

Sub can be used to interrupt casts or just stop enemies from autoattacking and moving—but many enemies are also immune to stun.

Interject doesn’t stun; it has an effect called “interrupt”

This is used to halt particular interruptible casts—identifiable because they have a pulsating glowing effect around the enemy cast bar.

Often endgame savage raids and the like will require interruption of certain casts as a mechanic.

#

The enemies you have to interrupt are usually immune to stun in those contexts.

#

Interject only has an effect if used to interrupt one of these casts.

You don't need to do your GC stuff to go through the main scenario quest, but you should generally do the early stuff so you can get your first chocobo.

you get a token after each clear (two from Hades) and it takes 10 tokens for a weapon (7/3 split for Paladin sword/shield.)
