What went wrong While on the game, clicking onto another monitor and then focusing back into the monitor consistently crashes the game. Sometimes, just clicking on another monitor is enough to crash the game [see video 1].

Additionally, minimizing the game is enough to crash the game as well [see video 2]. This also happens outside of loading the game, i.e. when in game [see video 3].

**What I expected to happen:**The game to continue normally.

Specs:
OS: Bazzite 44 Desktop Edition
KDE Plasma: 6.6.4
Kernel Version: 6.19.14-ogc2.1.fc44.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics: Wayland
CPU: 16xAMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor
Memory: 32 GB DDR4
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

Additional Information: In the videos, I am using the Linux 8.19 Steam Runtime 2 64bit version with Vulkan to play the game. However, this problem does not seem to happen when launching the game using Proton 9.0-4. So far, clicking on another monitor simply automatically minimizes the game with no problems. A crash blob has also been provided.

Linux: Crash when losing focus if in full screen or borderless mode
To Do โ€ข Priority: Highest โ€ข Fix: Probably Never โ€ข Game: 6.5.5

On Linux (KDE Plasma and Ubuntu), shapez 2 crashes instantly when the game loses focus while in fullscreen or borderless screen mode. The crash is triggered by alt-tabbing, pressing the Windows key, or clicking outside the game window. It also reportedly crashes when a Steam achievement is earned. The game should continue running when losing focus regardless of screen mode. The issue was previously observed on Bazzite but has since resolved there for unknown reasons.

Minimize Game with Vulkan Crashes game
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: None โ€ข Resolution: Won't Fix

When playing shapez 2 in windowed mode at 1680x1050 resolution using the Vulkan graphics backend, minimizing the game window causes an immediate crash. The player normally uses borderless mode but was testing the minimize functionality in windowed mode. The crash does not occur when using DirectX. This appears to be an engine-level issue with Vulkan's handling of window minimization in windowed display mode.

One time crash when pausing with 'P' and minimizing game
Done โ€ข Priority: Medium โ€ข Fix: None โ€ข Resolution: Cannot Reproduce

A player experienced a one-time crash to desktop when pausing shapez 2 using the keybinding 'P' and then minimizing the game window to search the Wiki in their browser. The crash occurred without warning and the player could not reproduce it afterward. Log analysis revealed a fatal Mono runtime error and a native fault reporting error, but insufficient data was available for full diagnosis. The development team attempted multiple reproduction attempts across different builds but could not rec...

black screen appears on the screen as game loses focus after giving input to the second monitor
Done โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: 4 - Early Access โ€ข Game: 19.12.2023 โ€ข Resolution: Done

When running shapez 2 in fullscreen mode on a dual monitor setup with the game on the secondary monitor, moving the Cursor to or interacting with the second monitor causes an unnecessary black screen to appear and the game loses focus. This issue consistently occurs and disrupts the player experience. The expected behavior is that the game should maintain focus without displaying the black screen when interacting with the second monitor. The issue is caused by using windowed fullscreen with V...

Crash on startup
Done โ€ข Priority: Medium โ€ข Fix: Version 0.0.9 โ€ข Game: 24.2.2 โ€ข Resolution: Won't Fix

shapez 2 crashes on startup on Linux with a SIGSEGV error in native code, occurring after recent OS package updates (such as mesa, mutter, vulkan-loader, xwayland). The game was previously working with older package versions. The issue appears related to compatibility between the native Linux build and updated system libraries. Running the game under Proton is a workaround, though sound issues were also reported in that configuration. There is currently no fix planned on the game side.

Shapez 2 can crash when switching graphics settings while using Linux.
To Do โ€ข Priority: Critical โ€ข Fix: Post 1.0 โ€ข Game: 0.1.1

shapez 2 can crash or become unstable on Linux when changing Graphics settings such as resolution and window mode, then applying them. The issue was observed in rc1 and may also occur on startup if the game attempts to apply outdated Graphics settings from a previous version. It does not appear to affect all Linux users, and the reproduction rate is unknown. Expected behavior is that the game remains stable after applying Graphics changes. The team is investigating whether DirectX 12 usage co...
