As you can see, in the bottom right corner of the picture I managed to highlight a belt even though being in the menu. How to reproduce:

  1. set game to borderless
  2. build some machines (so you have anything to hover)
  3. escape to menu
  4. tab out of the game so it loses focus but is still visible
  5. [edge case bug]: (without giving the game focus) you can now hover machines through the menu blur, they become highlighted.
  6. click back into the menu so it gets focus again, suddenly machines aren't highlighted anymore when you hover them

I assume the hover/highlight logic somehow skips the menu screen if the game loses focus.

When shapez 2 loses focus or the cursor moves to a second monitor, UI hover sounds continue to play excessively. Cursor soft selects buildings off screen when paused

When the game is paused and not in focus, the cursor soft selects structures that are physically located behind other application windows on any monitor. This causes the hover highlight effect and audio click sound to trigger even though the structure is not visible on screen. Tooltips still active in research screen

Tooltips remain active on the Milestones Screen, causing hover tooltips (such as for Inputs) to appear in the top-left area of the screen even though they should be hidden. This occurs after completing Milestone 1 in Certification mode and then entering the Milestones Screen. The expected behavior is that tooltips do not appear when the underlying UI is hidden. The fix has been verified in build 1.0.0-alpha3-rc1.

Contents being shown when the mouse pointer is over a wire is still showing its signal when menus are open

When the cursor hovers over a wire while a menu is open (such as the pause menu), the signal indicator still appears on the wire. To reproduce, start a Classic Mode savegame in Regular scenario, place wires in Machine View, press ESC to open the pause menu, and move the cursor over a wire. The expected behavior is that the signal indicator should not display when menus are open.

Hide UI does not disable panels, still clickable

When the UI is hidden using F12, toolbar and menu elements remain interactive despite being invisible.
