Fatal Error after achievements.bin file is corrupted
To Do • Priority: Highest • Fix: None • Game: 1.0.3-rc3
When the achievements.bin file becomes corrupted (e.g., emptied or truncated due to a full disk), shapez 2 throws a fatal NullReferenceException on startup and fails to launch. This can be reproduced by replacing the achievements.bin file in the game's local app data folder with an empty file and starting the game. The issue has also been reported by users whose disk filled up while the game was running and updating achievements. The expected behavior is that shapez 2 should handle a corrupte...

Exception: Could not find ClassID: ´BeltPortReceiverOutpurPredictor´ when loading the game
Done • Priority: Highest • Fix: 4 - Early Access • Resolution: Done
When loading a Savegame, an exception error occurs stating "Could not find ClassID: BeltPortReceiverOutpurPredictor". This happens after confirming the Alpha warning, causing the game to remain on a black loading screen with a turning wheel. The player cannot proceed past this point and is unable to load their game. The issue has been fixed in the latest master update.
Return to Main Menu hangs on loading (Normal & Hard Scenario)
Done • Priority: Highest • Fix: 4 - Early Access • Resolution: Done
The game hangs indefinitely on the loading transition screen when returning to the main menu from within a game. This occurs in both Normal and Hard Scenarios, and was also confirmed in Regular Scenario. The loading wheel continues spinning but never completes, requiring the player to force-quit. The player log shows a savegame version mismatch error and multiple blueprint deserialization failures. The issue prevents players from exiting to the main menu normally during gameplay.
[0.0.9-rc5] Unable to load a saved game
Done • Priority: High • Fix: Version 0.0.9 • Game: 0.0.7 • Resolution: Done
Player on Windows 11 with Direct3D11 was unable to load multiple Savegames in shapez 2 version 0.0.9-rc5. The log analysis revealed three types of failures: some save files had invalid Base-64 content, others failed to decompress due to DEFLATE stream errors or GZIP CRC mismatches, and one backup failed because it contained an invalid color code "p" during Shape Code parsing. The invalid color code caused game initialization to fail completely. The issue has been fixed in master and version 0...
Unable to load Operator Level 184 save
Done • Priority: Highest • Fix: None • Game: 0.1.1 • Resolution: Won't Fix
User cannot load their Operator Level 184 Savegame. After importing and clicking play, the game remains on a continuous loading screen indefinitely. The issue occurred after the user attempted to upgrade their Operator Level, experienced a crash, and upon reopening found their Research Credits and Speed Multiplier in an incorrect state. The save became incompatible and cannot be loaded. The user reports having many Trains in the save.

Game crashes when (auto-)save fails ("The process cannot access the file")
Done • Priority: Medium • Fix: 2 - Demo • Resolution: Done
shapez 2 crashes when an autosave or manual save fails due to a file access error (System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process). Instead of crashing, the game should display an error notification to the player indicating that saving has failed. The crash occurs during the file move operation in the save process. A localization string already exists for the save failure notification but the crash happens before it can be shown.
