#[SPZ2-6346] [1.0.3-rc3] [1.0] Blueprinting leaks memory

I'm working on the second-to-last operator milestone and have been having issues with scaling. When the game first loads (which takes 1m40s on my 12700k) the game is using ~7GB of memory. Whenever I copy a blueprint, that jumps up by hundreds of MB.

After an hour or so of "normal" play, my ram usage is up near 20 GB.

I've attached my savegame and player log

[1.0.3-rc3] [1.0] Blueprinting leaks memory

RAM remains used from previous gameplay after returning to the main menu.
Done β€’ Priority: Critical β€’ Fix: 1.0.0 Release β€’ Resolution: Fix Verified

After returning to the main menu from a gameplay session, shapez 2 does not release the RAM used during that session. To reproduce, start a game, place a Space Platform, fill it with Conveyor Belts across multiple levels using Copy/Paste, then quit to the main menu. The memory usage observed in the task manager remains at the in-game level (e.g., 10 GB with 600K Conveyor Belts) and does not decrease, even after waiting several minutes. Starting a new game continues to increase memory on top o...

System memory + GPU memory increases quickly when moving over foundations with lots of building elements
To Do β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: Probably Never

System memory and GPU memory usage increases quickly and continuously when the player camera moves over Space Platforms that contain many placed Structures. GPU memory fills to maximum capacity and stays full, while System memory gradually fills over time. This occurs in Classic Mode when moving the camera along platforms with dense building layouts. The expected behavior is that memory usage should remain relatively constant even when loading many Structures into view, rather than continuous...

Mono RAM continuously climbs then periodically drops, causing severe low 0.1% fps events
To Do β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: None

Mono RAM continuously climbs over time and then periodically drops sharply, causing severe low 0.1% fps events. This can be observed by enabling debug charts and the performance chart legend, then waiting for the cycle to occur. The repeated pattern suggests a hidden garbage collection event is being triggered when memory reaches a threshold. The expected behavior is that Mono RAM remains stable without forcing garbage collection, avoiding the associated performance hitches.

OutOfMemoryException: Out of memory error can occur when having 1.77+ million unconnected wires when maxing out available ram
To Do β€’ Priority: Low β€’ Fix: None β€’ Game: 0.1.1

An OutOfMemoryException can occur when loading a savegame containing approximately 1.77 million unconnected wires, causing RAM usage to exceed 32GB. The issue is triggered during simulation cluster initialization when the game attempts to allocate memory for a large number of unconnected wire nodes. Connected wires use significantly less memory (under 9GB), and other unconnected machines exhibit similar but less extreme memory behavior. This is an edge case unlikely to occur during normal gam...

Moving the camera to 999999999 999999999 causes the game to run out of memory
To Do β€’ Priority: Low β€’ Fix: None

Moving the Camera to coordinates 999999999 999999999 using enable cheats causes shapez 2 to run out of memory and stop responding. The exact trigger point is unknown, but the issue occurs when moving the Camera extremely far out from the normal play area. Under normal conditions the Game works as expected, but at these extreme coordinates a memory error message appears and the Game becomes unresponsive. This is a low priority issue that occurs only through cheats but should eventually be addr...

Pasting and placing this bp freezes and then crashes the game
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: Update 0 - Patch 1 β€’ Resolution: Done

Pasting and placing a specific Blueprint causes shapez 2 to freeze and then crash. The issue occurs when pasting the Blueprint text from clipboard and clicking to place it, but loading the same Blueprint via the Blueprint Library works fine. The crash is triggered by Space Platforms containing only a Signal Producer connected to Trash, and is affected by zoom level at placement time causing low UPS. An OutOfMemoryException occurs during placement. The Blueprint Library also fails to read all ...
