If I play a game with the "Trains Derail" challenge setting enabled, quit that game, then play a different game where that setting is disabled, the trains derail anyway, ignoring the game setting.
In the attached video, I have 2 sandbox (cheat-enabled) games. When I switch from the game with it enabled to the one with it disabled, the trains still derail.
The only way to get the disabled setting back is to exit and restart the application.

In Classic Mode with the Regular scenario, enabling any Challenge other than Train Derailment incorrectly activates the Train Derailment Challenge as well. To reproduce, start a new game with one or more Challenges enabled (excluding Train Derailment), use cheats to unlock trains, then place a Train and let it reach the end of the Rail. Only the explicitly selected Challenges should be in effect; Train Derailment should remain off when not chosen.

The optional Challenge rule "Trains Derail" is not functioning as intended. When this Challenge is activated in any Game Mode and Difficulty, Trains reaching the end of a Rail continue by going back under the track instead of derailing as expected. This occurs regardless of whether cheats are enabled. The issue was tested in shapez 2 development build nightly-142 and has since been fixed in the latest master build, where Trains now properly derail when the option is active.

When playing with the Trains Derail option enabled in a custom Scenario, trains that reach the end of a Rail are deleted instantly with no animation. The expected behavior would be some kind of animation showing the Train derailing or meeting its end, rather than just disappearing. This occurs specifically when using the Trains Derail Challenge in custom difficulty settings. The reporter notes this may be a missing feature rather than a bug.
