This has been true for some time, so is not version-specific. I have remapped Z and X to Zoom In and Zoom Out, respectively. Once remapped, ctrl-Z and ctrl-x also function as Zoom In and Out. Effectively it is as though the ctrl key is being ignored and it isn't seeing ctrl-z as different than z. I assume this applies to any ctrl+ combination but have only tried X and Z.

Keybind priority issue: single-key keybinds override multi-key keybinds
To Do โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: Probably Never โ€ข Game: 0.0.0-alpha6

When a player sets a single-key keybinding and a multi-key keybinding that includes that same key, the single-key keybinding takes priority and executes instead of the multi-key combination. For example, if Z is bound to move-up and Ctrl+Z is bound to Undo, pressing Ctrl+Z will only trigger the move-up action. This affects any modifier key combinations on Linux and partially affects macOS where Ctrl modifier combinations fail but Shift and Cmd work correctly. The expected behavior is that mul...

Ctrl+Z also triggers the action bound to the Z key
To Do โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: None

When using Undo with Ctrl+Z, the game also triggers any action bound to the Z key alone. This affects users with non-QWERTY keyboard layouts, such as French AZERTY keyboards where movement keys are ZQSD instead of WASD. For example, if camera movement up is bound to Z, pressing Ctrl+Z to undo will simultaneously move the camera upward. The expected behavior is that modifier key combinations like Ctrl+Z should not trigger the base key's action.

Blueprint history hotkey CTRL does not work by default (assigned to area selection hotkey)
To Do โ€ข Priority: Medium โ€ข Fix: Post 1.0

The blueprint history keybinding defaults to a key (such as left Ctrl) that conflicts with existing area selection keybindings like "toggle selection" and "deselect area." Because of this conflict, holding the history key and scrolling to cycle through previous blueprints does nothing. Rebinding the conflicting area selection controls to different keys resolves the issue and allows the history keybinding to work. The default keybinding for blueprint history should be set to a key that does no...

Pipette bound to ctrl-click will also trigger click (replacing) for belts
To Do โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: None

When Pipette is bound to ctrl-click and the player ctrl-clicks on a Conveyor Belt while holding a different Conveyor Belt, the game both replaces the existing belt with the held one and picks up the original belt direction. This unintended behavior only occurs with Conveyor Belts, not other Structures, and does not happen when Pipette is bound to a single Keybinding instead of a combination. The expected behavior is that ctrl-clicking should only activate the Pipette function without triggeri...

'Delete' does not work if the Destroy Selection and Delete actions are assigned to the same key
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: None โ€ข Resolution: Won't Fix

When the Delete keybinding and Destroy Selection keybinding are assigned to the same key in the settings, the player becomes unable to delete any structures. This occurs after assigning both keybindings to the same key in the Settings menu and then attempting to delete buildings in-game. The expected behavior would be either allowing deletion to work with both keybindings on the same key, or warning the player about conflicting keybindings during setup. The issue affects the ability to remove...

Thank you for your report. Remapping any single key bind seems to override multi-key keybinds. This does not seem to affect the cut action (Ctrl + X) but it does affect undo (Ctrl + Z).

It seems to be affected on a case by case basis. We're tracking this issue on our system but we're unsure Unity will allow a fix that might not break something else. We're looking into alternative solutions but it might take time.
