#[SPZ2-5688] [1.0.3-rc3] Overflow splitter incorrectly splits when placed next to edge of space platf

When an overflow splitter is placed immediately after a belt catcher that receives shapes from a space belt, it will sometimes split onto the overflow belt even if there is no overflow in the forward direction. This seems to only happen if there are some shapes that have backed up onto the space belt, and clearing the contents of the space belt usually restores the expected behavior.

Overflow splitters directily after catchers are faster than normal
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: Post 1.0 β€’ Resolution: Duplicate

Overflow Splitters placed directly after Belt Catchers operate at speeds exceeding the normal maximum throughput of 180/m, causing shapes to incorrectly route to the overflow output instead of continuing straight through. The issue only occurs when the Overflow Splitter is immediately connected to a Belt Catcher without any Conveyor Belt spacing between them. This results in unexpected shape loss and routing behavior. The bug can be reproduced by placing a Belt Launcher system between two Spa...

The overflow splitter activates on complicated blueprints when it shouldn't do so
To Do β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: Probably Never

The Overflow Splitter incorrectly diverts complex shapes while they are still moving smoothly on Conveyor Belts, rather than only activating when shapes have stopped moving ahead of it. This occurs in Classic Mode with a specific Blueprint containing Pin Pushers placed before the Overflow Splitter on an Asteroid Miner. Removing the Pin Pushers resolves the issue. The expected behavior is that the Overflow Splitter should only trigger when downstream flow is blocked, not during normal operation.

Overflow Splitter doesn't work well when not watching
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] β€’ Resolution: Done

The Overflow Splitter does not function correctly when the player is not actively viewing it. When the player observes the Overflow Splitter directly, it works as intended and does not discard any shapes. However, when the player's view moves away to look at another part of the factory such as the Trash, the Overflow Splitter incorrectly discards shapes even when there is no overflow condition. This causes unintended shape loss in the production line. The issue was related to incomplete imple...

Belt catchers can become stuck coming off Space Belts
Done β€’ Priority: Highest β€’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β€’ Resolution: Done

Belt Catchers connected to Space Belts can become stuck and stop functioning. The issue is triggered by replacing the first two Conveyor Belts after the Belt Catcher, or by adding Splitters after it. When stuck, the Belt Catcher does not update when changes are made to the Conveyor Belt in front of it. The issue does not occur with Space Platform to Space Platform connectors. This bug has been verified as fixed in the latest version.

Space Belt is consuming shapes
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β€’ Resolution: Done

Space Belts are consuming shapes instead of transporting them properly. When shapes are sent through a Space Belt, significantly fewer shapes arrive at the destination than were sent - for example, 180 shapes sent but only 90 received. The issue persists continuously rather than just during the initial saturation period, and appears worse when the receiving Space Platform is more complex. Regular Conveyor Belts do not exhibit this behavior. The bug has already been fixed by Nicko.
