Game Version:
1.0.3-rc3

Description:
When zooming from Space View into Machine View using the mouse scroll wheel, Space Belts and Space Pipes on the second height layer do not become transparent. Instead, they obstruct the view, darken the Machine View structures below, and prevent mouse interaction with them.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open a factory with a Space Belt or Space Pipe on the second height layer.
  2. Go to Space View.
  3. Center the camera on that Space Belt/Pipe.
  4. Zoom into Machine View using the mouse scroll wheel.
  5. Try to interact with the Machine View structures below it.

Expected Result:
Space Belts/Pipes should become transparent or unobtrusive, allowing clear visibility and mouse interaction with Machine View structures.

Actual Result:
The Space Belt/Pipe stays visible, blocks the view, darkens the structures below, and prevents mouse interaction.

Frequency:
Consistently reproducible under the conditions above.

Workaround:
Using Jump to Center reliably fixes the issue. Zooming in/out or toggling views with Space sometimes helps, but not reliably.

Video Note:
The attached video shows that toggling views with Space does not trigger the bug. The issue appears after zooming in with the mouse scroll wheel.

Toggle Level Visibility for Space Level is forgotten when entering and exiting machine view
To Do β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: None β€’ Game: 1.0.0-RC3

The toggle level visibility setting for Space View is forgotten when entering and exiting Machine View. To reproduce, enable cheats, place structures on multiple space levels, press V in Space View to toggle level visibility, then zoom into a Machine Platform and zoom back out. The visibility setting resets after this transition, making it hard to stay focused between space levels. The expected behavior is that the toggle level visibility for Space View should be maintained when switching bet...

Conveyor belts and machines show as bright when focused on higher space levels
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Resolution: Fix Verified

Conveyor Belts and machines appear fully bright when viewed on higher machine levels, instead of being darkened to indicate they are on a lower level. The issue occurs when zooming out slowly after placing structures and switching levels. At certain camera distances, the lower level-of-detail shader does not properly apply the level visibility darkening. Machines on other levels should remain darkened regardless of camera distance. The fix updated the simplified building shader to use the cor...

Space belt items disappear if on higher floors
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Resolution: Fix Verified

Shapes on Space Belts disappear visually when placed on a higher machine level. To reproduce, place a Space Belt on the second level and fill it with shapes, then place a Belt Lift going down and switch to the lowest level. The shapes on the higher-level Space Belt become hidden while the belt itself remains visible. Expected behavior is that shapes should remain visible on Space Belts above the current level. This bug has been verified as fixed.

After placing miner extensions, stuck in some kind of weird placement mode
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: None β€’ Game: 0.1.0-alpha1 β€’ Resolution: Missing Feature

After placing Miner Booster on an Asteroid Miner, the player becomes stuck in an unusual Placement state where Structures cannot be placed or destroyed, though Space Platforms can still be modified. A dark visual overlay appears below zoom level 80, and Input arrows on platforms remain visible at greater distances than normal. The issue persists across Savegame reloads and game restarts. While initially triggered after placing Miner Boosters and Mini-Miners near The Vortex in a new Regular ga...

Overview view space level changes to zero when zooming out from regular view
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.0 Bugfixes before Feature Freeze β€’ Game: 1.0.0 β€’ Resolution: Fix Verified

When zooming out from Machine View to Space View while placing a Machine Platform, the Machine Level resets to level 0 instead of maintaining the current level. This occurs when a player places a platform at a higher level in Machine View, then zooms out to Space View and attempts to place another platform. The expected behavior is that the Machine Level should remain consistent between both views during placement. Machine View correctly remembers its level when returning from Space View, but...

Some of the converter greebles become transparent when using toggle level visibility or zooming in close
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Game: 1.0.0-beta3 β€’ Resolution: Fix Verified

Some decorative elements (greebles) on Trade Stations and other structures become transparent when using the toggle level visibility feature or when zooming in close in Manufacture Mode. The issue also affects parts of Research Station roofs disappearing when hiding elevation and the Vortex Grand-Assembler antennae becoming invisible when hiding elevation on the third space level. Elements attached to a visible part of a machine should remain visible when level visibility is toggled. An initi...
