Space pipe forward/2-way splitters/mergers have incorrect normal decal UVs
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: 1.0.1 Release (1.0 Fix 1) โข Resolution: Fix Verified
Space Pipe forward and 2-way Split and Merge variants have incorrect normal decal UVs, where the normal decal atlas is applied to unintended parts of the mesh. This issue does not affect Y and 3-way Split or Merge variants. The fix has been verified in a development build, with all decals standardized.
Add IO effect to junctions of Space Pipes
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: None
Space Pipe junctions where pipes connect to platforms lack a visual hole or transition effect, unlike Space Pipe lifts which have such effects. This causes shapes and fluids to visually clip through the junction geometry. The fix involves adding VFX masking at the pipe transition points, which was verified in a beta 6 build.
Space pipe visual glitch
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] โข Resolution: Fix Verified
Space Pipes display a visual glitch where paint fluids always appear to flow into the middle level, regardless of which level they actually came from. The animation incorrectly shows all paint blobs entering through the middle notch on space pipes. This visual issue persists across multiple builds and testing dates. The animation does not accurately represent the actual fluid flow between different machine levels, though the functionality itself may still work correctly.

[0.0.9-rc1] visual glitch after replacing space pipes
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: Version 0.0.9 โข Game: 0.0.9-rc1 โข Resolution: Done
A visual glitch occurs at certain zoom levels after replacing Space Pipes with Pipes going in a different direction. The pipes appear correctly when zoomed in close or zoomed out far, but display incorrectly at intermediate zoom levels. This is a graphics rendering issue that affects the visual appearance of pipes after replacement, though the pipes still function properly.
Space Pipes Visual Rework - Technical Support
Done โข Priority: Low โข Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0]
Technical support task for Space Pipes visual rework to assist art team with shader features, data assignment, and visual approach. The task involves allowing unique Space Pipe clips for all island-level fluid input/output connections. An experiment was done reworking the glass shader to match art requirements. Space pipe clip support was added but has issues: the fluid pipe hologram mesh is missing from Space clips support, and slots appear to be in the wrong group - when the space belt clip...
Paint blobs are outside the glass from space pipes
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: None โข Resolution: Fix Verified
Paint blobs appear outside the glass on Space Pipes at notches 1 and 4 across all pipe levels. The issue occurs when paint fluids are transferred through Space Pipes using a Fluid Launcher connected to a fluid producer. The paint blobs visually clip through the glass material on both edges of the pipe. The expected result is that paint blobs should remain inside the glass boundaries of the Space Pipe. This is a visual rendering issue that has been verified as fixed in build [token redacted].
Here's a gif of what this looks like for me. Can't see the paint dots within the junction/splitter, neither from the straight pipe nor from the curved direction.
1.0.3-rc3 "Supporter Edition" on Mac.
Sure you will find this is by design.
Pretty sure one of the Devlogs talked about the junctions of the pipes being covered.
That is currently by design. There are plans to change them at some point.
