Belt placement at platform notches is mixed up
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: Version 0.0.9 β€’ Resolution: Done

When connecting Conveyor Belts to Space Platforms at Notches, multiple direction and placement issues occur. Belt Launchers and Belt Catchers display incorrect transfer icons suggesting shapes cannot be transferred when they actually can. When placing Belt Launchers or Belt Catchers from the Toolbar, they automatically face the wrong direction and require manual rotation to connect properly. The wrong building type (Launcher vs Catcher) appears as placeable when it cannot actually transfer in...

Autoplacement on notches defaulting to launchers despite original direction of belt
To Do β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.1 Release [1.1.0]

When placing a Conveyor Belt near a Notch, the autoplacement always defaults to a Belt Launcher regardless of the belt's direction. Even when the belt is aimed in the opposite direction, where a Belt Catcher would be more appropriate, the system still selects a Belt Launcher. This is a regression not present in earlier versions, where the belt direction was correctly detected for both Belt Launchers and Belt Catchers. The expected behavior is that Notches should autoselect a Belt Catcher when...

Belt Launchers/Catchers switch to conveyor belts when pressing R to rotate while placing them in a platform notch.
To Do β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.1 Release [1.1.0]

When placing a Conveyor Belt on a Space Platform Notch, it correctly switches to a Belt Launcher, but pressing R to rotate causes it to revert to a sideways Conveyor Belt instead of rotating the Belt Launcher. If a Belt Launcher is already placed, attempting to rotate a new one inconsistently switches it between Belt Launcher and Belt Catcher, sometimes requiring two presses of R. The expected behavior is that pressing R should consistently rotate or toggle between Belt Launcher and Belt Catc...

Belts does not auto place on receiver if belt is rotated
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β€’ Resolution: Done

When a Conveyor Belt is rotated using the R key and then hovered over a Notch of a connected Space Platform with an incoming Space Belt, it fails to automatically convert to a Belt Catcher. Previously, belts would automatically change to catchers when placed at platform edges with incoming connections. After rotation, the auto-swap functionality breaks and the belt places incorrectly even though the game indicates placement is wrong. This was a regression of a previously fixed issue where the...

Belt Catcher placement places Belt Launcher
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 4.1 - EA Prototype β€’ Resolution: Done

When placing a Belt Catcher, the game incorrectly places a Belt Launcher instead. This occurs during the normal placement action of selecting and placing a Belt Catcher structure. The expected behavior is that placing a Belt Catcher should result in a Belt Catcher being built, not a Belt Launcher. This represents a placement bug where the wrong building variant is spawned.

Belt launchers don't auto-rotate to fit
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Game: 12.51.16 β€’ Resolution: Cannot Reproduce

Belt Launchers do not auto-rotate to fit when placed. The Input of the Belt Launcher is considered for auto rotation, which would cause the launcher to rotate to fit in the intended placement. This behavior only works correctly when the Belt Launcher is taken from the toolbar, maintaining consistent behavior with parts that are cut or copied. The issue could not be reproduced in the latest build tested on November 14, 2025.
