Playingfield flickering
Done β’ Priority: Highest β’ Fix: 0.1 - Complete Visuals β’ Resolution: Done
The Space Platform / Island / Foundation / Machine Platform / Playing Field was flickering on Mac systems with Metal graphics. The issue occurred across all Antialiasing / Anti-aliasing settings and was caused by a texture lookup problem in the shader code. The flickering was specific to Metal rendering and related to how the Object shader graph node handled dynamic position fetching for Space Platform / Island layer visibility. Setting shadow quality to Low or Off temporarily fixed the issue...
Changing Color modes and graphic settings causes fatal glitch
Done β’ Priority: High β’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β’ Resolution: Won't Fix
Toggling through color selections caused a slight FPS drop. Switching Graphics settings from high to minimum worked smoothly, but returning to high settings caused severe screen glitching and flickering with green artifacts. This appears to be a driver issue related to GPU running out of VRAM rather than a game bug. The issue results in a fatal glitch that makes the game unplayable until settings are adjusted or the game is restarted.
Selecting ANY fluid building causes game to flicker
Done β’ Priority: Highest β’ Fix: 4.1 - EA Prototype β’ Resolution: Done
Selecting any fluid-related Structure causes the game to flicker and the floor to vanish. This occurs when placing and then selecting buildings like Painter, Color Mixer, Fluid Tank, Pipe, Fluid Launcher, Fluid Catcher, Crystal Generator, or Signal Producer. The issue is triggered by a NullReferenceException in the HUD side panel when initializing fluid container contents. After the floor vanishes once, selecting other buildings including Conveyor Belts also causes the same flickering issue. ...
[Dev] Game visuals are broken outside of editor
Done β’ Priority: Highest β’ Fix: 1 - Announcement Trailer β’ Resolution: Done
The game's graphics are broken when running outside of the editor. This appears to be a development-related issue affecting the visual rendering of the game. The visuals do not display correctly in the standalone build compared to when running within the development environment. This impacts the ability to test and play the game outside of the editor as the graphics system fails to render properly.
Shader settings to High/Extreme will cause severe glitch
Done β’ Priority: Medium β’ Fix: OLD Early Access β’ Resolution: Done
Setting Graphics / Shader quality to High or Extreme causes severe visual glitches on Mac mini M2 after alpha 7. The issue occurs when changing the shader settings in the game options menu. This results in consistent graphic rendering problems that affect game visuals. The bug is reproducible every time the Graphics settings are adjusted to High or Extreme quality levels on this hardware configuration.
[arch linux] Glitching graphic/ no graphic after sleep
Done β’ Priority: Medium β’ Fix: None β’ Game: 0.1.0-pre8-rc1 β’ Resolution: Won't Fix
On Arch Linux systems, after the laptop wakes from sleep mode, the game displays graphical glitches or a completely black screen with no graphics visible. The issue can be temporarily resolved by saving the game, returning to the main menu, and reloading the save. The problem does not occur on Windows systems and could not be reproduced on low-spec hardware. The user has confirmed their drivers are up to date, suggesting this is a Linux-specific graphics rendering issue related to sleep/wake ...
