Asteroids in contact do not work with each other when in contact
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: Probably Never โข Resolution: Won't Fix
When two Asteroid Miners are placed on separate Shape Asteroids or Fluid Asteroids that are touching each other due to high map generation settings, Miner Boosters or Pump Boosters from one asteroid do not connect to or boost the Asteroid Miner on the adjacent touching asteroid. This occurs when Extraction Spots Batch Size and likeness are set high enough that asteroids generate touching each other. The issue was reproduced with Seed 49903 and 6482 in both Classic Mode and Manufacture Mode. E...
๐ฌ Threads: [0.1.0-pre8-rc1] Asteroid not providing
Miner extractor patches are not updated
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: 4 - Early Access โข Resolution: Done
When Mini-Miners are placed on Asteroid Miners at The Vortex and Miner Boosters are removed, the Extraction Spots do not update correctly. Three out of four patch lines remain visually intact and show as locked or unlocked, but functionality is broken until Mini-Miners are replaced. Only the last unlockable Extraction Spots work correctly. The issue also occurs without touching Miner Boosters. This prevents proper mining functionality after modifying Miner Booster configurations.
Shape patches underneath initial space miners can't connect to other patches
To Do โข Priority: Low โข Fix: None
The four initial Shape Asteroids underneath the starting Asteroid Miners cannot connect to other Extraction Spots when using Miner Boosters. When trying to extend these initial patches to nearby Shape Asteroids or connect newly generated patches to the initial setup, the Miner Boosters fail to recognize the connection. This prevents players from expanding their initial mining setup and combining extraction areas that should be contiguous. The issue can be reproduced by creating a custom map w...
Chain Miner can get extension added to the "entrance" and it counts
Done โข Priority: Lowest โข Fix: None โข Resolution: Won't Fix
The Miner Booster can be placed at the entrance side of an Asteroid Miner where it blocks the Output. This connection is allowed but prevents Shapes from being transported normally since the exit is obstructed. The only way to extract items in this configuration is through a Global Signal Transmitter. The expected behavior would be to either prevent the Miner Booster from connecting at the entrance or allow normal Shape transport despite the placement. This is a minor inconsistency that does ...
Connecting Chain to Miner with different shape patch causes ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range.
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: Future โข Game: 0.0.0-alpha23 โข Resolution: Done
Connecting a Miner Booster to an Asteroid Miner when the booster is placed on a different connected Shape Asteroid causes an ArgumentOutOfRangeException. This occurs because the game attempts to access a collection with an invalid index when checking if the chain position is connected to an extractor. The bug causes Space Platforms and many Machines to disappear from view. The issue likely also affects Fluid Asteroids. The exception has been fixed, though the developer notes they may have onl...
Placement does not remember rotation after placing
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] โข Game: 09.41.31 โข Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
When placing an Asteroid Miner followed by a Miner Booster, the Miner Booster does not default to the same direction as the Asteroid Miner. After placing the Asteroid Miner, the Miner Booster starts with the same rotation as the placed Asteroid Miner rather than maintaining its own expected default orientation. This issue could not be reproduced on the latest build and appears to have been fixed already, as miners now remember the previous direction on every instance.
