Left the machine (PC) running overnight, gota increase those levels ;). When I got up this morning I found the item highlighted was not directly under the cursor but the next item down.

I know the cursor is not visible in the image but it was actually over the Continue option yet its the Play option that's highlighted..

A reboot solved it, just thought you'd like to know about it.

[Linux] Changing aspect ratios can cause the mouse pointer to not line up with buttons correctly
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: None โ€ข Resolution: Won't Fix

On Linux when running shapez 2 natively (not through Proton), changing the resolution to a different aspect ratio causes the Cursor to become misaligned with UI buttons. For example, switching from 2560x1440 to 2560x1080 in the Graphics settings menu will cause the Cursor to not properly highlight or interact with buttons. Some button areas are affected while others work correctly. The expected behavior is that the Cursor should align correctly with all buttons regardless of resolution or asp...

Mouse X offset on ultrawide screen.
To Do โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: None โ€ข Game: 1.1.0

On ultrawide monitors (5120x1440, 32:9 aspect ratio) running Linux with AMD/Vulkan graphics, the game cannot set the correct resolution in fullscreen or borderless mode and reverts to 3440x1440. This causes the rendered image to be pillarboxed while the cursor coordinates still map to the full physical screen width, resulting in mouse clicks being offset from their visual position. The issue appears in menus and likely affects gameplay. Windowed mode works around the problem by allowing the u...

Mouse pointer isn't directly over a Platform it is holding in overview mode when far away from the Vortex
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: Probably Never โ€ข Resolution: Fix Verified

When holding a Space Platform in Space View far from The Vortex, the cursor and the held platform become misaligned. This occurs when zooming out after placing platforms at a great distance from The Vortex, such as at distant superchunk coordinates. The expected behavior is that held platforms should remain aligned with the cursor regardless of distance. The fix involved using double-precision calculations for determining the tile and chunk under the cursor in more scenarios, making the misal...

Path placement 'lags' behind
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] โ€ข Game: 18.57.12 โ€ข Resolution: Done

When placing Conveyor Belts in a path, the placement lags behind the Cursor position by one tile. The belt gets placed on the tile before where the Cursor is currently hovering, rather than at the actual Cursor location. This causes inaccurate placement during continuous path building. The issue has been verified as fixed in the latest version.

Cursor soft selects buildings off screen when paused
Done โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: 4 - Early Access โ€ข Resolution: Done

When the game is paused and not in focus, the cursor soft selects structures that are physically located behind other application windows on any monitor. This causes the hover highlight effect and audio click sound to trigger even though the structure is not visible on screen. The issue occurs in both pause states, but expected behavior is that structures should only be interactive within the active game window, and the pause menu should remain the top layer when displayed. The user is runnin...

Oh. Also what OS were you using? Windows/Mac/Linux?
Linux has a problem like what you are talking about when using certain resolutions

faint scroll
# earnest thistle Which order did you turn off the monitors?

The 10" monitor wasn't on and the 2k one was the one to be turned off before bed.

Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (Build 26200.8117)

The 10" monitor I use for a system monitor I use along with the Steam version of VoiceAttack the standalone version of VoiceAttack is displayed on the 2k Monitor which was why the 10" monitor wasn't on, it wasn't needed.

But I don't have the mouse pointer offset problem.

#

But I do have the same aspect ratio for all three monitors. Maybe your 10" isn't 16:9?

It was still connected, but off?

#

I did get a bug report out of testing your issue. I just can't get the cursor offset to happen.

# faint scroll Yes.

The game jumps to another monitor even if its off.
Windows knows its there and doesn't disconnect unless unplugged.
My other monitor is either 2K or 4K as an alternative to go to, and if it goes to the 4K it goes to native 4K. I might need a monitor with a native 1920x1080 to test it.
I think I have all the steps to reproduce this now.
It might be just that the game shouldn't be jumping to another monitor when one is turned off.
Thanks again for reporting this issue ๐Ÿ™‚

Most programs jump to another monitor, they never used to so I guess it's just a Windows thing now ... annoying for sure, I first noticed it when I got 2x 4K monitors connected to the PC with Display port cables disconnect the monitor and what it was displaying is moved to the other one. Never used to happen with HDMI connections but I guess Windows 11 fixed that. As HDMI is how both of my monitors are connected it could just be an anomaly.

Happened again last night after leaving the game running over night, the offset wasn't as bad as the previous time it happened.

A game restart fixed it.

But a new thing the resolution reset to 1920 x 1080 from the 2560 x 1440 it was set to.

This does seem like a possible windows issue, does this occur just with Shapez 2?
