This is a white shape. It looks white when you zoom in on the shape, but the train-level preview shows grey.

Train content colors are darker than the colors loaded
To Do โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: None

Train wagon content colors appear darker than the actual colors being loaded into them. This visual discrepancy is noticeable when the train contents option is enabled, and it causes some colors like Magenta to appear as different colors such as purple. The issue occurs with both shapes and paints loaded onto wagons. Players can reproduce this by loading a train with colored items in Classic Mode with cheats enabled. The expected behavior is that the preview color shown on wagons should accur...

Converter and crystal shapes are shown as flat colors in the train visualization shader
To Do โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: 1.1 Release [1.1.0]

Refined shapes and crystal shapes are displayed as flat colors in the train visualization shader instead of rendering with their actual shaders. The same shader is used for train shape visualization, causing both shape types to appear incorrectly. This issue has been moved to the 1.1 milestone.

White fluid cloud displayed as grey / uncolored
Done โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] โ€ข Resolution: Done

White fluid clouds are displayed as grey or uncolored in Machine View instead of appearing white as expected. The issue only occurs in the zoomed-in Building mode, while Space View correctly shows the white fluid cloud in its proper white color. This visual bug causes fluid colors to be misrepresented during normal gameplay when players are working at the machine level. The expected behavior is for white fluid to consistently appear white in all view modes.

Uncolored shapes on map look almost white
To Do โ€ข Priority: Medium โ€ข Fix: Probably Never โ€ข Game: 0.0.9

User CaptainFlint reports that Uncolored shapes displayed on the map appear almost white, making them difficult to distinguish from actual White colored shapes. This issue is particularly noticeable when viewing Shape Previews over Shape Asteroids in Space View. When loading an old Hexagonal Savegame, it appeared as though most Shape Asteroids suddenly started providing White shapes instead of Uncolored ones. The problem is more pronounced in Hexagonal mode when only one of six Shape Quarters...

Crystal Display Texture
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: 4 - Early Access โ€ข Resolution: Done

The Crystal Display has a texture issue affecting how Crystals appear on the Signal Display. The edges of Crystals do not turn gray as expected, and it is harder to distinguish between Crystals and regular Shapes compared to before. The edges of the Crystals appear too dark, making them less instantly recognizable. The issue may be related to purple Crystals or Shape Layers specifically. The shader was fixed to improve the visual distinction and edge coloring.

Hey, @rose cove? I think this thread has been linked to the wrong ticket. The description written by Lowjohn is complaining only about white appearing grey in train holograms. He didn't mention anything about the holograms of crystals missing their gradient shading, or missing their bright outlines. The only way this thread has anything to do with crystals is that it happens to contain the word "crystals" in the title.

It seems pretty clear to me that this thread is actually primarily related to SPZ2-4845, and not SPZ2-5714.

๐Ÿ” This bug report has been marked as a duplicate of SPZ2-4845: Train content colors are darker than the colors loaded

The colors displayed on train wagon content previews appear darker than the actual colors being loaded, which can cause confusion between similar colors such as magenta appearing as purple. This occurโ€ฆ
