LOD of central platform doesn't match
To Do โข Priority: Low โข Fix: None
There is a visual issue with The Vortex where the level of detail rendering does not match correctly between zoom levels. When the player zooms out from The Vortex, an additional visual element appears that should not be visible, as indicated by the cursor position. This appears to be a level of detail bug where different geometry or assets are being displayed at the wrong distance threshold. The issue affects the visual consistency of The Vortex when viewing it from different camera distances.
HUB Vortex LOD transition is very obvious
Done โข Priority: Low โข Fix: 4 - Early Access โข Resolution: Done
The Vortex experiences a very noticeable LOD (Level of Detail) transition when the camera zooms out slightly. The visual quality change between the close-up and zoomed-out version of the Vortex is abrupt and clearly visible to the player. This affects the visual polish of the game but is noted as not being a critical issue. The problem occurs during normal camera movement when transitioning between different zoom levels while viewing the central Hub platform.
๐ฌ Threads: Zooming out makes the vortex go black
HUB sides have object disappearing when moving/zooming camera
Done โข Priority: Lowest โข Fix: 2 - Demo โข Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
The Vortex sides have shapes disappearing when moving or zooming the camera. The issue occurs when observing the train station from the side and looking at the shape in question. This appears to be a visual rendering problem where objects are improperly culled or hidden during camera movement. The report notes that the issue could not be reproduced and was likely fixed by art improvements. This would impact visual clarity and player ability to see shapes being processed at the hub.
HUB mesh disappears in low and Minimum graphic settings
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: 2 - Demo โข Resolution: Done
The Vortex mesh disappears when Graphics settings are set to Low or Minimum quality levels. The issue occurs by launching the game, accessing the Graphics settings, changing the quality to Low or Minimum, and returning to gameplay. Part of the mesh becomes missing, causing the inner swirl to be visible through the structure. This visual bug affects the appearance of the central hub platform. The issue has been fixed so that Low and Minimum Graphics settings now properly display a basic hub mesh.
HUB mesh visual issues on lower graphic settings
Done โข Priority: Low โข Fix: 2 - Demo โข Game: 09.49.32 โข Resolution: Done
The Vortex has mesh visual issues when Graphics settings are set to MEDIUM or lower. Switching between Graphics settings causes changes in how the mesh is displayed, with small mesh issues appearing near Notches on LOD 0. The problem also affects 2x1 Asteroid Miners and all Space Platforms with 1x1 Mini-Miners. The issue was likely introduced by recently added Train Station LODs and is related to Notches changes. On lower Graphics settings, the game starts at LOD1/LOD2/LOD3 instead of LOD0, m...
Hub BEAM is cut off when zooming out max
Done โข Priority: Lowest โข Fix: 2 - Demo โข Resolution: Done
The Vortex beam is visually cut off when the player zooms out to maximum distance. The issue occurs by loading the game, zooming out completely, and positioning the camera to view the top of the beam. The beam rendering does not extend far enough to remain visible at maximum zoom level. The expected behavior is for the entire beam to remain visible regardless of camera zoom level. This has been fixed by adjusting the beam's length.
