I noticed some belts in my factory had some small gaps between shapes and traced it back to the train unloaders which seem to always miss one set of shapes on a fully saturated space belt when finishing one package and starting with the next.

Train Unloader creates a gap on space belts when switching to next crate to unload
Done β’ Priority: High β’ Fix: Update 0 - Patch 1 β’ Game: 0.0.0-alpha23.2 β’ Resolution: Done
The Shape Wagon Unloader creates unwanted gaps on Space Belts when it finishes unloading one Shape Package and switches to the next package. This happens because there was no buffer between the unloading process and the transfer to the belt, causing a brief interruption in output. The gaps result in slightly reduced throughput efficiency, particularly noticeable when trying to maintain maximum belt speed of 180 items per minute. This issue was fixed by implementing a configurable buffer of le...
Train unloaders have a slight delay in shape output when changing packages.
Done β’ Priority: High β’ Fix: Update 0 - Patch 1 β’ Resolution: Duplicate
Shape Wagon Unloaders experience a brief delay in shape output when transitioning between packages. This delay occurs even when unloaders are properly lined up, interrupting what should be constant throughput. The user expected continuous output without gaps between packages. The issue has been identified as a duplicate and marked as fixed in another ticket.
Unloaders create gaps when switching packages to unload
Done β’ Priority: Medium β’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β’ Game: 0.1.0-pre8-rc1 β’ Resolution: Duplicate
When a Shape Wagon Unloader finishes delivering a complete package and switches to unload the next package, it creates an unwanted gap in the output on the Conveyor Belt. This occurs in any Game Mode and Difficulty when using a train delivery system with a Shape Wagon Loader and Shape Wagon Unloader. The expected result is that there should be no gaps in the unloading when more packages are available to unload. The issue causes interrupted flow of shapes on belts between package switches.

Gaps are present on conveyor belts with shapes
To Do β’ Priority: High β’ Fix: Post 1.0
Conveyor Belts with Shapes show gaps and reduced throughput below the expected 180/m at max Belt Speed. The issue was inconsistent during testing, sometimes appearing when changing FPS limits or when moving away from and returning to Asteroid Miners. The problem may be related to cluster simulation updates being applied at different times, causing desyncs between isolated simulation sets. Developer testing suggests the gaps might be a byproduct of how clusters update independently rather than...

Reloading a game deletes a package from all train unloaders
Done β’ Priority: Medium β’ Fix: Version 0.0.9 β’ Resolution: Duplicate
When reloading a Savegame, one Shape Package is deleted from each Level of every Shape Wagon Unloader in the game. This occurs after filling the Unloaders with packages, saving the game, quitting, and then reloading. Only one set of packages is removed from the Unloaders per reload, while Shape Wagon Loaders remain unaffected and keep their full inventory. The issue results in unexpected loss of stored packages each time a save is loaded.
