The attached blueprint is the one in question.

The problem is that the previews show intermediate shapes, like {WuSu--Cu} and {----Ru--} while the output (after the blueprint stabilizes) is {WuSuRuCu}.

Also, see #πŸ”’closed-beta-chat message for more images.

Predictions show wrong output
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] β€’ Game: 0.1.0-pre4-rc1 β€’ Resolution: Done

Shape Previews show incorrect Output on Machine Platforms / Space Platforms larger than 1x1. The predictions display multiple different Shapes that would be produced, but this does not match the actual Output. The issue was caused by a coordinate lookup problem in platforms larger than 1x1. Shape Previews used to work correctly before, so this was a regression. The bug has been fixed and predictions now display correctly.

space belt predictions are wrong if other shapes merge "later"
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Resolution: Done

Space Belts show incorrect Shape Previews when another Conveyor Belt merges further down the line. The predictions fail to account for shapes that will merge at a later point in the transport system. This causes the preview system to display inaccurate information about what shapes will arrive at their destination. The issue was unable to be reproduced in testing and was eventually resolved by a prediction system refactoring that made the bug obsolete.

Belt predictions are still incorrect when loading savegames
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β€’ Game: 0.0.1 β€’ Resolution: Done

Shape Previews on Conveyor Belts display incorrectly when loading Savegames. The issue specifically affects complex factories with high connectivity between Space Platforms, where the topological order calculator breaks down. In the reported case, no Shape Previews were coming from a Blue Square Space Platform. The bug was caused by Space Belt Merges not considering all output possibilities and issues with the topological order calculation for highly connected platform networks. Multiple fixe...

Shape Predictions do not work consistently in large savegame
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β€’ Game: 0.0.0-alpha23 β€’ Resolution: Done

Shape Previews do not work consistently in large Savegames. When loading an affected Savegame and navigating to various Space Platforms, attempting to create Splits on Conveyor Belts often fails to display Shape Previews. In some cases, predictions appear only after repeatedly replacing or connecting Conveyor Belts. The issue is particularly noticeable in highly connected factories with many Structures. Expected behavior is that Shape Previews should consistently appear when drawing Split Con...

Shape preview (belts) is sometimes incorrect
Done β€’ Priority: Low β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Resolution: Done

Shape previews on conveyor belts sometimes display incorrect shapes when the source signal changes. When using a Signal Producer to feed Belt Launchers, some belts fail to update their preview even after several minutes, while others update correctly. The previews can be manually refreshed by hovering over the Belt Launcher with another structure without placing it. The issue affects any Belt Launcher, not just those connected to The Vortex. This bug has been marked as obsolete due to predict...

Prediction of no/empty shape overriding actual shape
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Game: 0.0.1 β€’ Resolution: Cannot Reproduce

When a Mini-Miner is placed on an Asteroid Miner, the Shape Previews system incorrectly shows an empty or null shape prediction that overrides the actual shape being extracted. The third Mini-Miner from the top in the provided image demonstrates this bug, where the prediction should show all left pieces or alternate between left pieces and nothing, but instead displays an incorrect empty shape. This causes visual confusion as the preview does not match what is actually being mined. The issue ...

@patent fog I made SPZ2-6012 about the belt filters showing all possible states all the time for their shape previews.

In fairness to you and the dev team, @gritty glade, the previews are MUCH better than they were in 0.1.1.
This one used a sushi belt from a cutter module that I then sorted by using more cutters. I then stacked them together, and it just deleted the preview. This is where I coined the term "Preview Suc".

This uses no belt filter tiles (although one could argue that the cutters themselves are East/West half filters), and was patched out when I got my hands on the beta.
