Exception when selecting toolbar element
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] โข Game: 0.1.0-pre3-rc1 โข Resolution: Duplicate
Exception occurs when selecting a Toolbar element, specifically when clicking on the universal rail toolbar icon. The error is thrown in HUDToolbarView.Select and propagates through multiple nested levels of the event system. The log also shows a Savegame version mismatch error where the menu Savegame is below the minimum supported version. Additionally, there are failures reading multiple Blueprint files during Library scanning. This issue has been identified as a duplicate of an existing bu...
HUDToolBarView.Select: Exception: Exception of type 'System.Exception' was thrown.
Done โข Priority: Highest โข Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] โข Game: 0.1.0-pre3-rc1 โข Resolution: Done
A System.Exception is thrown when selecting the Conveyor Belt from the Toolbar in shapez 2. The issue occurs immediately when clicking on the Conveyor Belt slot in the Toolbar after starting a new game. The exception propagates through HUDToolbarView.Select and multiple event handlers. The root cause is a missing return statement in HUDToolbarView.cs when handling leaf elements, causing invalid logic execution. This prevents proper Toolbar interaction and generates recurring exceptions.

Trying to open locked toolbar items sometimes results in error
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: 4 - Early Access โข Resolution: Done
When pressing Keybindings for locked Toolbar items like the Cutter or Rotator in a new Savegame, an error message appears saying "No available child for Toolbar". This occurs during early game when these Machines are still locked and haven't been unlocked through Research yet. To reproduce, start a new game and press the 2 or 3 keys which are bound to the Rotator and Cutter before they are available. The game throws an error with a stack trace in the player log instead of gracefully handling ...
Exception when switching toolbar panels
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] โข Game: 07.39.52 โข Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
An exception was triggered when switching toolbar panels using keyboard shortcuts. The bug occurred by first selecting the Conveyor Belt, then pressing Shift + 2 to switch panels. This caused an unexpected error during the toolbar panel transition. The issue could not be reproduced after several fixes were made to improve toolbar shortcut robustness, and it was closed as potentially fixed by those changes.
Fix blueprint toolbar not saved when restarting game
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: 4 - Early Access โข Resolution: Done
The Toolbar was not being saved when restarting the game. When a player closed and reopened their Savegame, the Toolbar configuration would be lost instead of persisting. This caused players to have to reconfigure their Toolbar every time they loaded their game. The expected behavior is that Toolbar settings should be preserved across game sessions. This issue has been verified as fixed.
Menu Error & sceen missing
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: OLD Early Access โข Resolution: Done
The game throws a console error and displays an empty menu screen when opening shapez 2 on Alpha 15.2 dev master. This occurs even with a completely new Savegame in a different folder from older saves and the demo. The error states that the background Savegame failed to load because the menu Savegame version (1032) is below the minimum supported version (1033). The issue happens during game startup when loading any Savegame, causing MenuBackgroundSavegame.PrepareExistingMenuSavegame() to fail...
