Settings: Hover to Play Videos is working for tutorials and Codex
Done โข Priority: High โข Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] โข Resolution: Not A Bug
The "Hover to Play Videos" setting affects videos in Certification and Codex screens, requiring the cursor to hover over them before they play. The reporter expected these videos to auto-play regardless of the setting, but this was confirmed as intentional behavior. The setting is designed to apply everywhere to support users who prefer reduced motion.
Mods Disclaimer screen has no visible mouse pointer
Done โข Priority: Medium โข Fix: Factory Mode - MS1 โข Resolution: Done
The Cursor is not visible on the Mods Disclaimer screen when the game starts up. This makes it nearly impossible for players to click on any of the available options to proceed into the game. The issue occurs immediately when the Mods Disclaimer screen loads after opening shapez 2. The expected behavior is that the Cursor should be visible on this screen so players can interact with the options displayed. This issue has been fixed and verified as of October 24, 2025.
@pastel oar Do you have a save at the point this breaks? I tried making a few saves at specific spots in the intro, but I was not giving me a crossed out cursor.
I might not have been specific enough, but by 'intro' I mean the part right when you enter the save, where you start on a zoomed out view and progressively zoom in, and in that part accessing the pause menu is disabled, so I can't actually make a save
โ Thank you for providing further information, our team will have a look again!
Ah, I see. Apologies I misread that! I assumed by starting a save you meant loading a save made on that screen. I see the issue now! Thank you for the clarification!
