#[SPZ2-5939] [1.0.0-A5-RC2] Black fluid color indistinguishable from pipe cradle/socket at ground lev

Pipes placed at ground level use a support socket as part of their model. The colour of the socket's base is very similar to the black fluid colour, which makes them look the same.
The fluid shader does create some small variations, but these are not noticeable enough to easily tell whether a pipe is empty or filled with black fluid.
This isn't a problem at high elevations because the pipe doesn't have a socket and is easy to identify.

Uncoloured fluid is too close to white when zoomed in
To Do โ€ข Priority: Low โ€ข Fix: None โ€ข Game: 1.0.0-alpha4-rc1

Uncolored fluid appears too close to white when the camera is zoomed in. In Classic Mode on a Regular scenario, placing fluid-producing structures and viewing their contents while zooming in causes uncolored fluid to progressively look whiter the closer the camera gets. The color should remain a consistent grey at any camera distance. This makes it difficult to visually distinguish uncolored fluid from white fluid during normal gameplay.

Pipes and fluid producers uncoloured is the same as white for when set to color blind
To Do โ€ข Priority: Medium โ€ข Fix: Post 1.0

When color blind mode is enabled, Pipes and Signal Producers displaying White and Uncolored fluids appear identical, making them indistinguishable. To reproduce, start a new Classic Mode savegame, enable cheats, and place two Signal Producers set to White and Uncolored respectively. The expected behavior is that there should be an obvious visual distinction between Uncolored and White fluids when using color blind settings.

Liquid pipe colour changes to empty when zooming out
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: None โ€ข Resolution: Won't Fix

When Pipes are filled with fluid and the player zooms out, the color of the Pipes changes from showing the correct fluid color to appearing empty. This occurs in Machine View when Pipes are full and the camera is moved outward. The issue happens in Classic Mode with Regular scenario when cheats are enabled. The expected behavior is that Pipes should maintain their fluid color visualization at all zoom levels, but currently the color indicator disappears at certain distances. This is an intent...

Pipes that are full are showing empty
Done โ€ข Priority: Critical โ€ข Fix: 1.0 Bugfixes before Feature Freeze โ€ข Game: 1.0.0-alpha1 โ€ข Resolution: Fix Verified

Pipes that are full are showing empty visually. When placing Fluid Launchers and Fluid Catchers with colored paint, the connecting Pipes between them appear clear or empty even though the launchers and catchers show they are full and the shape predictions indicate fluid is flowing. This occurs in a new Regular Classic Mode save with cheats enabled. The expected behavior is that Pipes should visually display the liquid paint inside them when they contain fluid. This issue has been marked as no...

Empty pipes on the 3rd layer of machine platforms are too transparent with post processing turned off
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: Probably Never โ€ข Game: 1.0.0-alpha3-rc1 โ€ข Resolution: Fix Verified

Empty pipes on the 3rd machine level of machine platforms are nearly invisible when post processing is turned off in graphics settings. The issue was caused by an unintended regression in the glass shader setup for space pipes, which caused the material to not render at many camera angles. To reproduce, start a Classic Mode save in the Regular scenario, enable cheats, disable post processing in graphics settings, and place empty pipes on the top machine level. Empty pipes should remain clearl...

Fluid Tank & Mixer Lower LOD missing color
Done โ€ข Priority: High โ€ข Fix: 4 - Early Access โ€ข Resolution: Done

The Fluid Tank and Color Mixer machines are missing color information when rendered at lower Level of Detail distances. This occurs when the player has lower Graphics settings enabled or when viewing these structures from far away. At lower LOD levels, the Fluid Tanks and Color Mixers may appear without their fluid colors or may not be visible at all. The issue has been confirmed fixed for Fluid Tanks with updated models and LODs added, but the Color Mixer fix is still pending.
