what went wrong:
the space belts and space pipes cost 0.5 platform capacity when the tooltip says they should cost none.

what you expected to happen
either the tooltip and the 'total capacity available' widget in the top left of the screen should be able to display decimal values, or the actual cost for space pipes and space belts should match the '0 cost' that the tooltip indicates

Space belt and pipe Chunk Cost not shown while placing
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β€’ Resolution: Done

Space Belts and Space Pipes do not display their Platform Capacity cost in a tooltip during placement. Unlike other structures on Space Platforms, these transport elements fail to show how many platform units they will consume when being placed. This makes it difficult for players to plan their Platform Capacity usage when building transport infrastructure. The expected behavior is that Space Belts and Space Pipes should show their chunk cost in a tooltip while placing, similar to other place...

Space belts & pipes do not show chunk cost during placement anymore
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: 4 - Early Access β€’ Resolution: Duplicate

When placing Space Belts or Space Pipes between Machine Platforms in space view, the game no longer displays the Platform Capacity cost (chunk cost) that would be consumed by the placement. This information was previously shown during the Placement process to help players manage their platform limits. The missing visual feedback makes it harder for players to plan their builds without exceeding capacity. This issue has been marked as a duplicate of another report.

Hyperbelt cost is "0" in the description
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: OLD Early Access β€’ Resolution: Done

The Hyperbelt / Hyper Belt shows a cost of "0" in its description panel because the actual cost depends on how long the player drags during placement. Since the Conveyor Belt / Belt can be any length, displaying a fixed cost is inaccurate. The issue creates confusion about resource requirements. A suggested solution is to display "1+" in the description to indicate variable cost, or show the actual cost dynamically during placement and hide it in the static panel.

Upgrading the Platform Limit adds exactly half of what it states it should for upgrades
Done β€’ Priority: High β€’ Fix: 1.0 Release [1.0.0] β€’ Game: 1.0.0-alpha2-rc1 β€’ Resolution: Fix Verified

The Platform Capacity upgrade adds exactly half of the amount stated in the Technology description. When upgrading Platform Capacity in Manufacture Mode, each level increases the platform limit by only 50% of what is displayed. For example, level 2 shows it should add 500 platforms but only adds 250, level 3 shows 1000 but adds 500, and so on through all upgrade levels. This affects all Platform Capacity upgrades and results in the player having significantly fewer Machine Platforms available...

Incorrect platform units number for buildings in Knowledge Panel
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] β€’ Resolution: Done

The Codex shows incorrect Space Platform unit costs for Structures. When placing buildings, the displayed cost does not match the actual Space Platform capacity consumed. For example, some buildings show 4 units but only consume 2 Space Platform foundation units. This creates confusion about actual platform capacity usage. The issue has been fixed by adjusting the chunk limit calculation so platforms now correctly cost 1 unit again.

Space belt and Space pipes preview cost does not work properly with obstacles
Done β€’ Priority: Medium β€’ Fix: Dimension Update [0.1.0] β€’ Resolution: Done

The Space Belt and Space Pipe cost preview displays incorrect values when obstacles require automatic tunnel placement during building. This occurs specifically when placing Space Belts or Space Pipes in areas where the game automatically creates tunnels to navigate around obstacles. The preview cost calculation fails to accurately account for the additional tunnels being generated, leading to a mismatch between the displayed cost and actual resource consumption. This issue has reportedly bee...

0.5 cost is intentional, so it should probably show like this in the UI, at least in the side panel
