#[0.1.1] Cannot pan when on screen edge
19 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Thank you for reporting this issue 🙂
A few questions:
- Is it in windowed mode?
- Is the resolution of the game the same aspect ratio as the monitor? (like 16:9 verses 16:10 etc)
- Another thing that could be a problem is if there is a multiple monitor setup, and the two monitors are not exactly lined up beside each other.
I'm not in windowed mode and am not using multiple monitors. macOS doesn't give you a resolution option, so I'm not sure if there's a way to verify that.
Uploading a recording here so you can see. The cursor goes past the screen edge. However, if you place the cursor right at the screen edge it'll scroll.
out of curiosity, do you have the 'lock mouse to window' setting enabled ?
Weird. What if you try it in borderless or windowed mode?
Yes
Borderless has the same rusults. Windowed would only let me pan side to side on the edges.
And both of these are on?
Yes
Your display resolution is interesting.
Looks like apple added extra pixels to the top and bottom of the screen, which might be the issue.
I don't know if this will work but its something to try.
Do you how to get to your settings file?
How I do it in windows and Linux is to:
- From the main menu select play
- Show Folder, and exit the save folder.
- Open settings.json (or similar) and change the resolution to 1920x1170.

That might compensate for the problem but I can't promise it will. I don't have a macbook to test it with. reducing the 1200 to 1170 is just a guess, it might need to be lower than that.
That doesn't work because every time I adjust the json file, the game reverts it back to 1920x1200 when I reload/open it.
I am sorry to hear that. I really wanted to at least create a work around for the issue.
What happens if when its windowed mode you change it to a smaller resolution? That's about the only suggestion I have left.
But then your screen is already small.
If you're in windowed mode you can't edge scroll at all.
