#[1.0.0-ALPHA2-RC1] No paint blobs on new space pipe merges or splits.

I mean, it does kinda look like the merges/splits are covered tunnels, so it makes sense... but from a gameplay/clarity perspective, not particularly great
If you zoom in they have 4 lanes each floorlayer.
And the "belt" is animating so it's not covered.
I suspect the straight pieces will get this styl as well.
well, they are also "covered" in terms of the model compared to the non-branching one (there appear to be openings on the ends), so it is a bit strange - it may be that the blobs are still in the "normal" location, which is covered by the top of the model
True. But I'm not liking this look. Can't see what's going on when there are multiple branches.
I think the new look might work well if they convert space pipes to not use blobs at all, like they mentioned in the devlog - but definitely the "belts" look too small for properly seeing the blobs if they were visible
I'm fine with that. But if it remains blob based, I want to see the blobs. You can actually see the blobs inside a little through the cracks.
But if space pipes become actual pipes, there won't be a need for fluid trains.
I could see having something similar to the old model (not covered), but with a transparent "glass" covering to give them visual identity
I don't mind a glass enclosure.
yeah, might preserve the unique identity of the new models, without impairing the visual readability of watching the fluid blobs
Well it looks like the "belts" on top are just a display. So simulated drops on it would work.
I guess this depends on implementation - I could actually see something functionally akin to BuildCraft (minecraft mod) pipes working well in this game - not "itemized" fluids, but not instant transport either
yeah, but they are much smaller, so still a fair bit harder to read
Looks fine when zoomed in. You only need to look at them when debugging a build.
preferences, I guess - I dont like the idea of them being made smaller than they currently are
As long as I can see what's going on I'm good.
Thanks for reporting this issue 🙂
This is just an feature that isn't finished yet.
Setting to Not a Bug
Though it might be WIP.
