Every time I exit the game, I save and click "Quit to Desktop", and the game freezes instead. If I leave it, the window stays open indefinitely. If I click on the window, it shows the "shapez 2.exe is not responding" popup and I can force-quit the app.
This does not cause lack of progress or any serious issue, the app just fails to shut down gracefully every time.

Does not happen from the main menu, or from a new empty save. I'm not sure this has always happened, so maybe it started at some point in my current save.
I just tried launching my save and quitting immediately, did not freeze, so perhaps only when the game has been open a while.

We've been noticing some freezes when loading very big saves that require time to load. Unfocusing the game tab while loading might cause the game to freeze and we're looking into was of fixing it. However we've not been able to confirm this occurring while exiting the game, though in this case having the game open for an extended period might be the issue.
~~I'll flag this issue as not a bug for the moment as it has no specific repro, but please create a new one should this issue persist and more specific reproducible steps can be observed ~~
EDIT: I've decided to use this post as a basis for improvement on loading times for better visibility. This is currently unrelated to freezing when quitting, but it's fix on loading should also improve quitting 🙂
