#[0.1.1] Jittering cursor glow far from center

This has likely been reported before, but I'll post this anyway just in case.

This is true even close to the center, but gets extremely noticeable far away (go to around 50 | BQ for a noticeable example).

The glow effect that surrounds the cursor when zoomed out seems to be only able to exist at certain locations. Zooming in and out this far from the center results in the glow going haywire.

Judging by the circumstances, this is almost certainly is a result of floating-point imprecision. I'm not actually sure how this could be solved to be honest, maybe keeping the camera centered and moving the world around instead?

thats just an issue with the physical game limitations from going so far

#

happens with many other games

#

not easily fixable

Yeah I know

west moon

yea

#

thats unfixable

#

to my knowledge

One fix I've seen implemented is to keep the camera centered and have the world move around instead. That way, the coordinates of objects never get too large.

from my understanding, its due to interger rounding getting less and less precise the further you go from the centre of the map

Yes, floating-point imprecision

smart, though

I still want to try and suggest a fix

fair enough

Even if it's not very feasable
