According to the Knowledge Panel for stackers, stacking a full shape onto a partial shape is supposed to allow the quarters from the top shape to fall down into the missing quarters in the bottom shape. That is not happening. Are there exceptions to this or is it a bug?
My bottom layer before stacking is:
CcCcP-P-:----CcCc
My top layer before stacking is:
WwWwWwWw
I am getting:
CcCcP-P-:----CcCc:WwWwWwWw
I want:
CcCcP-P-:WwWwCcCc:----WwWw
Two of the "Ww" quarters from my top layer are not falling into the two "--" quarters of the bottom layer, as I had expected them to.

You have to know that if parts of shape are connected with a part that will fall on the lower shape part, it sticks to the dropped part, and will not fall down further
so you should drop
WwWw---- onto
CcCcP-P-:----CcCc
to get
CcCcP-P-:WwWwCcCc
after that you can drop the
----WwWw
to get
CcCcP-P-:WwWwCcCc:----WwWw
not a Bug, it is as the game Shapez 2 works
Yeah this isn't a bug but the knowledge panel does a poor job explaining this imo (so thats the bug if anything)
The Ww's in {WwWwWwWw} are all connected and supporting each other so when one of them hits a solid object, they all stop falling together.
maybe the first video on the left should have a RrRrRr-- then it would be more explained i think...
The video showing stacking {--Cr--Cr} onto {Ru--RuRu} is showing that when shapes are not next to each other they are not connected and will fall independently.
I think there should be an additional video explaining this. such as showing stacking {WwWwWwWw} onto {Cb------} creates {Cb------:WwWwWwWw}.
hmhm .. thats up to the devs 😄
Hi @dawn bobcat !
Thank you for your report! 😄
Looking at this convo and having tested it myself, it seems a bit weird the way it works, and perhaps a clarification would do better in this case.
if we change the functionality of partial shapes falling on each other, we'd have to find a different way to keep CcCcP-P-:----CcCc:WwWwWwWw because that's a shape some players might decide to keep.
In that case, given that this is the functionality working as intended, I'd say a better post explaining this on the #1199773968438145134 channel would be more appropriate for this case 🙂
Since you all say it is not a bug, I accept that. But I do agree the knowledge panel is confusing. It does say the some parts "can" fall, which is why I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not. The knowledge panel definitely needs a better explanation of what will and will not fall. Thank you, all!
