Steps to Reproduce:

Have a shape being painted on a foundation via a space pipe or load the attached save file: SpacePipeNoShapePreviewTestSave.spz2
Attach a new space belt
Look for the preview shape

Observed:
After attaching a space belt the preview shapes aren't displayed.

Expected:
After attaching a space belt to a foundation preview shapes should show, or if its dependent on having enough paint in the pipes they should update based on that.

Based on that bug report I recommend trying these steps for this bug report:

Load the attached save file: SpacePipeNoShapePreviewTestSave.spz2,
Zoom out until the preview shape on the left disappears (moving out of render range of the preview shapes)
Attach a new space pipe,
Wait for 5-10 seconds for the paint to fill the pipe on the foundation (This is waiting for the update to the preview shapes while out of render range)
Zoom back in

Note that the preview shapes are all visible now.

For some reason I think that if within render range of the preview shapes when they are supposed to show from a change in state nothing happens.
