I was building a pipeline and was moving floors. i suspect i held shift whilst doing such. this is the result.
I cannot seem to recover from this.

Hitting the clear button on the console keeps printing the error message

i suspect the game is stuck in a loop somehow

I'm similar unable to open the escape menu; cannot use escape to close menus either, but the X still works
