I started a new game with a brand-new save under the new build and I got my operator badge fine I did hit the other bug where it doesn’t transition from the operator badge into the main game.

However, when I move into the main game, I have now hit a a complete game breaking bug on two consecutive safe files

Every time I copy some space platforms, I can paste them fine but then all highlighting goes away and when I go back to the processing layer, the screen is darkened and I can no longer build.

At this point the whole game is unplayable and you have to restart from a new save.

I have tried reloading the save, but it does not unblock

it means you are on a different platform layer than the hub, either press E/Q in platform mode or shift+E/Q in building mode and it should solve the issue

I would guess that when you were switching layers you were accidentally holding shift or something different idk

seems like it comes from the miner being 2 layers tall so when you copy it it moves you to its bottom layer, not sure if it's an issue as it's consistent with what happens on 2 layer buildings
