Intro

  • Non-hex game mode have four valid shape icon codes, that is, circle (C), square (R), star (S) or diamond/wedge (W).
  • Hex game mode have three valid shape icons, that is, Hexagon (H), Flower (F) and Gear (G).
  • When saving blueprint, you can select four sub-icon, and have the option to create custom shape codes for those sub-icons.

Issue

  • When playing in one of the two modes (hex or non-hex), in the blueprint menu, you do not see the blueprint sub-icons that are made with shape codes for the other game mode. Those sub-icon appear as blank.
  • When editing the shape icon, and creating custom icon, you cannot use the shape code from the other game mode (you get invalid shape code error)

work around is to use crystals to make the icons. Also when using a bp in either mode.

Thank you for your report. The way the game works is that it won't allow the player to create a shape icon from the other mode to let the players know in each mode when they've made a mistake in the code. Though it makes sense code-wise that you cannot see the sub-icons from other modes, it is confusing so I've written a report on our internal system to investigate 😄

they do, but they also disregard the quantity , the image has a 3 / 6 / 4 section. Might be something there that can be used to show the icons for the other mode

it's just that the game doesn't care about the number of parts per layer, you can also see it in the shape viewer for example

then its basicly the text filter on the BP icons that they need to look at, if i understand u correct

That's actually because on the BP icons you can create any sort of weird icon by just inputting the correct letters. You can get weird as these examples. The reason hexagons' BP icons don't show up in regular game mode is because the shapes are not present in that game mode (no Cf because there are no flowers), and the same is true the other way around (no Cu in hexagon bc there are no circles)
