Visual bug 1:
Shapes departing from second level and arriving on first level are missing the shape preview at the end of the conveyer belt that is connected to the space belt.

Visual bug 2:
Shapes departing from the first and second level leave in two's and arrive on the first level; 4 from the first level and two from the second level

Pathing:
Shape miner (start) - > space belt tunnel going under another space belt -> 2x1 foundation (end)

Additionally for "Visual bug 1", if you enter "construction mode" the shape preview appears on the "arrival" side but only at the connection point and not at the end of the forked belts.

Sorry noticing more, the "departing" shape miner platform shows shape previews for level two but not level one, not sure if that is intentional or not. I have not unlocked the third level yet to test that.

Changed the "arrival" platform:

From: Level 2 departing -> level 1 arriving

To: Level 2 departing -> level 2 arriving

This addressed the graphical bug. This also brought to light however I was able to receive shapes from the starter platforms without the "correct" setup.

If i did level 2 to level one from other space platforms, it wouldn't recieve shapes at all.

There's no bug here that I can see. Shape previews are behaving as expected

Thanks for the report.
The Visual bug with Shape Predictions (often called preview) is well known and there is several ways they can break and not show up correctly.

  • Splitting merging space belts will cause erros in shape previews
  • Painters may break shape previews
  • any complexity added to the "network" of one belt path can cause the predictions to not show up or be incorrect.
    (we try to chase these bugs down bit by bit)

The 2nd Bug I do not understand exactly what the problem is.
I tested the inputs and outputs of space belts and it seems all working.
Let me know if there is something broken, but based on your images and savegame I cannot see an error.
