[0.0.9-rc6][SPZ2-3752] Black screen/flickering on main menu (was ok on 0.0.8) MacOS

Game opens, opening logos appear, game loads, and when screen loads to main menu it either stays black or the menu appears and it starts flickering. If I click on a submenu it tries to load and goes black (small pinwheel at the bottom right flickering). Sound still plays, and when I move my mouse I can hear the sound effect when it passes over the menu options.

I'm aware that this is an issue on the troubleshooting post. I mention it only because I had the problem on 0.0.8 but used safe mode to change from fullscreen to windowed and that solved it. Currently running in windowed, low-end, limited fps. Tried all the startup options again but no dice.

Not sure what causes it, but it seems to not allow unity to make web requests.
"UnityWebRequest system is not yet available or has already been shut down"

Can you try to disable the analytics in the settings?
Since everything worked in 008, could you also try to disable the multithreading settings and multithreading rendering?

I disabled analytics, main menu animation, and multithreaded save. Couldn't see lower options because the visuals froze once I opened the menu. It seems to have made things worse, in the sense that it freezes on the logo, the black screen or the blue/purple loading screen and I can't see the menu options even if they exist (my cursor changes when I hover over the options and when I click on one it loads it but I still can't see it. Ex: I can click on the first menu option which is continue, and I assume it has loaded my save file because I can tell that the cursor changes over the hot bar options)
If I want to try changing other menu options I'd be basically doing it blind at this point. Not sure what to do about it.

We added a section here to disable settings outside the game.
