On a MacBook Pro M1 Pro running Sequoia, every few minutes the view will start moving off to infinity as if I was repeatedly pressing W or A or S or D. Pressing the H key returns to home but the movement continues. It sometiimes stops either if I actually press the W/A/S/D key in the direction of movement, sometimes if I escape to the settings screen. In some cases it doesn’t and i have to stop the game.

do you have the 'screen panning' setting enabled and do you have your mouse to an edge of the screen when that happens ?

It seems like the known issue with the auto-save function. The auto save will briefly freeze the game, depending on the size of you savegame. If you input a movement key the moment auto-save triggers, the input may get stuck resulting in infinite panning.
You can lower the auto-save interval in the menu to have it trigger less frequent.
We are also trying to improve the CPU performance, which should also help with the auto-save lag issue on larger savegames.
