#[0.0.7 on MacOS] Cannot assign backspace to delete items

I would like to use [backspace] on a Mac keyboard to delete items. [fn] + [backspace] works as delete (and this combination is referred as [del]), but I can't find "delete item" in the hotkey menu to add or overwrite this funktion.

The del key is a system key and we do not allow that to be reassigned. Could you add a #1199773968438145134 or a #💡suggestions for this?
Lets see if the devs can make this happen 🙂
