I am unsure if this is considered a desirable behavior or a bug. But when you have a belt in front of a swapper that does not have an output, it still shows a conflict warning.

A belt connected to an output of an X in a black circle gives you that? I'm not getting that and I do that frequently. Is your belt the correct direction?
