Just installed. Extreme quality. 45-60fps. Full screen 4K on a MacBook pro M3.

Ok I'm just doing the tutorial but the panning is not working, well it does pan, but only when I move to the bottom. Top, right and left does nothing when using full screen.

When I remove the full screen, the mac way, panning does work left and right, bottom but not top.

And when moving between 2 desktops to write this bug report thing, the mac menu is visible as well in full screen mode.

Borderless does not change anything, I mean I cannot see what this exactly does on mac.

wasd works fine 🙂 I'm just more used to panning with the mouse.

after writing I realized a few pointers.

  • I use the highest res in shapez

ow that was to fast.. anwayway:

  • highest res in shapez2
  • laptop screen 14 inch is set to 1512*982
  • this is not a normal aspect ratio
  • there are some very small black bars when I play in full screen on the left and right. which explain that direction not working for panning
  • I somehow have set the option ' show menubar in ful screen' in mac to on. or I think it is the default, given the notch and I cannot find the setting in de settings.. either way they is off course the menubar on top which explains that.
  • I will do a test on my external monitor later and see if left and right works find there. these are normal 16:9 4k monitors

maybe a some kind of offset would work here? the top is the height of the notch offset, and the left and right maybe the width of the bezel, if not less.

ok turned out something glitched, I had in better display the notched turned off somehow. 🤷 left and right are now ok, resolution is fine. only top panning does not seem to work

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. A number of macbook users have reported the panning on the top screen not to work.
I would suggest trying the windowed mode and see if that gives the functinality. It see,s the top bar in MacOS is causing issues with the games edges in full screen.
