I noticed random holes in my belts, after investigating it a bit I figured out that holes appearing when my painting block is off screen (or zoomed out).
Whenever my camera is far enough, holes appear in conveyors, but 10-20 seconds after zooming in, conveyor is back at 100%. Attaching video with it (to prove that I'm not crazy 😅 )
Feels like distance is somehow affecting production.

yep, ran into this myself. Integrated painting into my MAM, and because I was initially using belt readers to bypass stacking if it wasn't necessary (i.e. if input1 AND input2 then stack, otherwise bypass it), I noticed the MAM was building incorrect shapes if I left to look at something else on the map. Seems like they're around 80ish% working if not on-screen or very near (edit: should add it only happens when something needs painting; if painting isn't necessary it doesn't have this problem)
Ugh, this is really annoying, and makes my MaM much harder. I could double gate, but so much of my wiring isn't really in places where that's easy to do

what do you mean by "double gate"? Does it get around this painter issue somehow?
Any word from the devs on this? Haven't booted up the game since I encountered the issue, it fucks up my new mam pretty thoroughly and there's no way I can fit in double gates

I haven't tried the double gate workaround, but since that fixes it for some, it also explains why I see this on my crystal generator. Just chiming in that this affects crystal generator throughput as well, so that if anyone tries searching this will show up as a result.
