#my train is stuck upside down on a looped track

respawning the train fixed it btw
note that the game has been running for like 100 hours idling, so if that's a bug and not just me having moved something making the train turn upside down, that might be why
Thanks for the report. If you replace rails then it may happen that you "lock" a train on the underside of the rail with no way to return.
But if I understand correctly it happened while idle?
👍 Your bug report is in review. Our team is currently investigating.
I'm not 100% sure, I might have replaced a rail on the loop at some point
We trid to reproduce a few similar issues and all I can say so far it seems to be a random effect when placing or undoing/redoing placement of rails in specific conditions and the train in a specific position. We have yet to figure out steps to reproduce. If you catch the error again and have a clue feel free to share.
Got a consistent reproduction @pulsar oar with the following:
Setup:
- Non-looping train line with a corner
- At least two locomotives, one depot ("A") feeding a corner, enabling trains to turn around at it, and another ("B") feeding perpendicularly into a rail
To break it:
- while both trains are on the underside (or at least B), add rail to turn the line into a loop and delete depot A
What happens:
- The remaining train (B) is stuck on the bottom forever 🙁
What is expected:
- Ideally, the train should flip back to the top, even if it has to go a different route to its home
- A train who cannot compute a path back to the depot should respawn
Trains on a loop intentionally never return to their starting point. But they definitely shouldn't be able to get stuck on the bottom.
