#Game doesn't run native on Steam Deck. What's up with that?

I know a native Linux version does exist. But it seams the steam is running the Windows version on the steam deck.

I found out by accidentally pressing the button that opens the folder where the blueprints are stored. And I got an ugly window of the windows emulation thingy. Showing me a windows file system. (That's mapped to the real one)

That sound to me like the windows version is running. Not the Linux one.

Has anyone some pointers why that might be?

see #❓faq (well I meant that it isn't officially supported, not sure if that's what your question is about actually)

I believe Valve has a team that tests games for Steam Deck and determines the best configuration for each game. They make the Proton version default even for super small issues, and the 0.0.7 release has quite a few. I'm not sure if the runtime can be enforced by the developer instead, but you can switch them manually. Please test the native version and report the results!
